It's a shame; the first two games were my favorites Star Wars games aside from KOTOR.

I've enjoyed both.

Be so great for a third one. Be interesting to see what they could do on this genre of platforms. Be great fun. but less emphasis on jedi and more on the troopers like the first one please.(If someone ever developes it)

And mre jetpacks. Or possibly more customizing of loadouts. and armours too.

I want this game more than anything. They could cancel Skyrim and Half life 3 and I wouldn't care if I got Battlefront 3.

I love Both 1 and 2 Hopefully the keep the gameplay the same and make a 3rd.

Not really. For one, almost all of the maps in the game were from the main and prequel trilogies. There was almost nothing from anything else. If they need more material, they've got several truckloads worth of expanded universe material that is completely untapped.

For another thing, this console generation has been very lacking in decent Star Wars shooters. Nearly all of the shooters released in this console generation have been modern combat Call of Duty clones in one way or another.

Not so much in my opinion.

In general Star wars games are out the wazoo. But we only had two Battlefronts that many people both enjoyed.

And the only star wars games at the present I can think of is force Unleashed which is really a starwars stylized God of War with some force grip added.

It would be refreshing to me to play a 3rd Battlefront.

Yes, I find this console generation VERY lacking in Star Wars shooters, considering we haven't had any this generation.

There's only been four games in the Star Wars universe so far this generation, and all four of them have been action/adventure.

PSP/DS games don't count by the way.

Anyway, I'm very disappointed that the third one was cancelled. I've only played the second one, but it was fun.

If you ask me, LucasArts has been squandering their resources. Battlefront III would bring in a lot of revenue for the company, especially if done right.

Well, Pandemic went under, and I'm pretty sure they made the first two.

It's either;
A - Never going to happen
B - Happen, but probably be quite different

My guess would be A, but it would be so awesome if it was made.

Lord of the Rings: Conquest was pretty good though.

I heard the leaked footage of it and supposedly it had was amazing there was ground to space battlefield.

I saw the leaked footage, and it looked good.

I hope the game is at least being developed. There was a long time there where it was basically in "limbo." Hopefully if someone actually IS deveoloping it, they won't drop out. Battlefront was one of the best shooters ever. It had more focus on teamplay than any shooter I've played in awhile. Really just a great series.

We all wish they made the game come alive and its a shame there not making it, i love playing star wars games. Also live is one major thing they need to add i think the first two had live i think not to sure.

The only thing I want more than a new battlefront is a new battlezone game. I know that won't happen so I might as well hope for a battlefront. I do wonder why it is that the best games made always seem to die young.

Usually, it's companies like EA and Activision getting greedy and rushing out crap, then disbanding the teams when the game doesn't do well.

It happened with Spyro (every game to come out after the PS1 trilogy after Insomniac sold off the rights), Medal of Honor (nearly everything that came out after Frontline was rushed crap. Medal of Honor current gen was merely okay. But even it was basically Call of Duty Clone number 1351346), Mercenaries (Mercenaries 2 was one of the biggest butcheries of a great PS2 game I have ever played), and many, MANY other franchises.

Well, Pandemic Studios went under two years ago. Why another company hasn't picked up where they left off is anyone's guess.

I respect your opinion but prepare to get flamed, no, NAPALMED, for that soon, people can be very touchy about their games.
Anywho I think Battlefront 3 would be an amazing game, I have been and forever will be, a fan of the first two.
I would sit in my room for hours just doing space battles and all that fun stuff, I will never forget those games.
