To me anyways, it sounds like the black fellow asked how much the old guy would pay to 'spit-shine' a pair of shoes/boots. The old fellow is asking how much the younger fellow would charge.

The gangster wannabe takes offense to that, in a racial way.

The old fellow is confused and states it doesn't matter the race.

Young gangbanger acts tough, punches old guy, then gets beat down.

Young gangbanger needs an ambulance to tend to extensive wounds sustained in fight with old guy with fanny pack.
