Those two farmers outisde of Whiterun who you have to convince to fix Cicero's cart.
Stupid non-essential essential NPCs.
Those two die in every one of my games.
After Cicero is on the move again, I creep in at night and send them to Sithis. They are good people for helping out the Brotherhood (whether they knew they were helping the DB or not...), but secrecy is paramount. They have to die.
So, I end their worries about the Civil War and I let the Dread Lord figure out what to do with them.
