I know they glow...but it's very abnormally bright
oh you mean being too bright for normal, it is still the fact that they glowm iv seen the glow does not always leave and nirnroots respawn this time so they glow could stack
When you pick them up the shader doesn't always die with it. So you get multiple shaders overlayed for the same nirnroot.
It'll just keep getting brighter and brighter, sorry. Might get patched later.
If this is true and there's no safety or failsafe cap within the game engine, this could be a potentially system crippling and save ruining bug for console gamers. Thankfully for PC we can just disable it via the command console.
It's a defense mechanism. As the Nirnroot missive states it is a very rare plant, so it attempts to blind everyone who sees it to avoid being eaten or harvested.
They rewrite the lore to accommodate their dumbing down. In Oblivion you had to look for nirnroot as it's near water edges and they are not hard to find. Now Bethesda make them glow and a sound, it's stupid. KoAR is just as bad in regard to hand holding and showing players exactly where things are. RPG have a radar, which is really sad and totally dumbed down.

They had a sound in Oblivion too, but it was much quieter.
Install the mod I linked to and problem solved! Their glow is luminescant, but not very visible during the day, their "hummm" as it were, can only be heard when you're close enough to harvest, INSTALL IT GO!!!!
If i had too chose between completly remove the nirnroot glow and go against the rules of the lore and maybe giving a big preformance boost too my game i would gladly accept that.
they should atleast test this properly
i think it would have spare them/and us a lot of trouble
