Why Bethesda should keep the option of being "Master of

Post » Fri Jul 13, 2012 1:44 am

One of Bethesda's main theme is "Be who want, do what you want" (As long as it's within reason of the game's lore and stuff). The players have an option of being a Mage, Thief, Warrior, multiple hybrids, or someone that doesn't want to fight and just hires people to fight for them, but what about an option for someone who wants to be the "Master of All Skills"? There is no option for that unless you're using a PC.

I really don't see much of a con here... Having this options in previous games did not hurt me as Role-Player, since I had the self-control to plan and limit myself on these kind of things. I understand that "Replay Value" is important, but it shouldn't be at the cost of limiting the freedom of the these amazing games...

I promise you that if you do add this option back on your next series, you'll have less people flooding the forums with "Perk Resets PL0X"!

I don't understand. What is keeping you from becoming "Master of all Skills"? Yes, of course you will cap out at some point, but I don't see any reason you can't get to a high level in most skills.

Perks...

In oblivion it was possible to get them all, now its not, and then this dawnguard dlc comes out and offered two separate achievements for vampires and werewolves, its impossible to platinum this game on 1 save now... you have to start over v_v

I agree the OP is probably addressing perks, but now your post has confused me.

What do you mean "impossible to platinum"?

Do you mean to say if a player caps out in Skyrim, they can't perk the new trees in Dawnguard? Please clarify. Thanks. :)

I think all this perk-lust is rather silly.

You can't play both sides in one playthrough in Dawnguad. It's one or the other.

Whew. I'm okay with this. I just didn't want to get all "Level 81" and find out I can't perk anymore. :D
