why am i bold?

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 11:14 pm

I spend a lot of time creating a character, i finish off by picking the hairstyle, and after a couple of minutes in the game i find a hood which i wear only to find out that i am a bold man. i don't understand why i can't keep my hairstyle while wearing anything on my head, is it really that difficult to do this?

It only does that if the item in question covers much of your head (eg hoods), items like diadems and a few metal helmets still show hair if it's long enough.

Since when is being bold a bad thing? Hoods are a very bold fashion statement.

but why? why can they just make the helmet go over my hair, the iron helmets go over my face, so why can't other things go over my hair.

i understand that some people like van diesel, but to have luxurious, long, glowing hair one minute and the next be shiny bold is quite a disappointment.

Vin Diesel would probably be bold even with luxurious, long, glowing hair. He's a tough man.

I pretty sure that if it were easy to keep you non-bold while wearing a hood or a helmet, the developers would have done it. So, in answer to your question, yes, it is too difficult.

this happens in bethesda games and any other game with similar customization. the simple fact is that they can either severely limit your hair options,or make you bald when wearing headgear. lately some games (including some helmets in skyrim) have taken a step in the right direction by giving you a sort of generic hair cut when wearing headgear dependent on the length of your normal hair.

its just unrealistic to make multiple versions of a hair style just to fit into certain hats. with hoods at least you wouldnt see much of your hair anyway.

but i don't understand why they can't put the hood over the original hairstyle, maybe i don't know anything about making games, but i have used 3d-blender quite a bit, and i am pretty sure that i could put created meshes over other ones.
