Why can't they just leave well enough alone.....

Skyrim worked flawlessly. Played it 2 weeks ago then bought Mass Effect 3 and been playing that until tonight.

Openned Steam....saw that Skryim was downloading an update (I guess), started playing and 2 out of 3 exits from a house or store froze my game.

I don't know if it's mods or saves or what....but I don't think too many ppl on the PC had problems.

I knew I should have stopped the update but I put my trust in Bethesda.......

Mods often need to be updated as well to take account of the new patch, so you need to check for when you can upgrade them too. That can be the cause of a lot of grief otherwise, especially with stuff like script extender.

I checked the tech forums for PC and theres a thread there asking about the new patch working and whatnot. There are numerous ppl in that thread saying they are running mods and have many saves and are running the new patch.

Some mods are affected by a new patch, others aren't. If the mods you're running have REL threads here or elsewhere I'd suggest checking them out in case other people are having similar problems (or there is an updated version).
