Why is my custom helmet Enchanted, yet not?

Hi,

I'm trying to sort out something that is bugging me. I've checked around tutorials and wiki's but this is a bit of a unique one...

I made a helmet, it seems to work fine, gives you armor etc. When I use SkyUI (which adds a lighningbolt next to enchanted items) it puts one next to this helmet as though it were enchanted. However, looking at the Active Effects screen, no enchantment is listed for this helmet.

I tried creating a few other things at the forge, and they are not given "it's enchanted" lightningbolts. So where is this coming from?

As far as I know with vanilla UI, the Active Effects window is the only place to see if something is providing an enchanted effect. As mentioned, there is nothing listed there. I'm going to presume SkyUI is working just fine because I have never seen a non-enchanted item listed as being one before. That leaves "you're doing it wrong" as the only possible culprit, lol.

It looks to me that to provide an enchantment on an armor or weapon, you use the Enchanting pulldown in the Armor window. This pulldown on my helmet in question is set at NONE. Where else could the problem be?

Thanks in advance for any help.

It does. Does that trigger it to be consider a magical/enchanted item?

Edit: You sonofagun! Removing the description totally worked. Beautiful.

Thank you very much!

It does as far as skyui is concerned.
