Anyone know why enchantments have a magic skill associated to them? For example, the weapon enchantments are tied to Destruction, while fortify magicka is tied to Restoration, and so on.

The truth is that these associations are causing lots of issues with my perks that try to increase spell power, such as the famous augment perks increasing elemental weapon enchantments. So the fire weapon enchantment gets bonuses from Augment Flames just because it is tied to Destruction and also has the keyword MagicDamageFire..

Question is: Can I simply remove those magic skill association from all enchantments to clear all conflicts? Or are there any other use for them that I'm not aware of?
