Why's Esbern in my house?

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 10:34 am

So...sorta funny I suppose. I wake up one morning after a long day of adventuring. I give Aela a kiss, pat the kid's heads, throw some septim's their way, and put on my adventuring gear. On my way out the front door I see a man walk by me. I do a double take, because i'm the only man in this house. It's Esbern! He turns to me and mumbles something about how i'll have to speak up, he's deaf in his left ear. Then he walks out the house. My house is in the Pale. I've already beaten the main quest, and he is supposed to be chillin' in Skyhaven Temple. What up with that?

other then the fact I despise Delphine and refuse to help the Blades, I like Esbern. I bet with that voice of his he would tell great stories around the fire for the kids. Maybe he dropped in for a visit you fell asleep through haha. either way, odd but awesome.

At least it wasn't Delphine.

Could be worse. I've seen Faendal leave my house, Lakeview Manor when I just got back from getting supplies. Makes me wonder what he was doing with Camilla (my wife).

One of my characters married Camilla and he kept visiting her in breezehome. I took him into the wilds for arrow practice... he was the dummy.

How else do you think your spouse tends to make money for the store when they are at home and you are away from home XD

Well, seeing as there was a quest based on how Faendal and Sven were fighting over her, I am not surprised he went back for some more. Which is why when I marry her, I kill both of the suitors. Waste of two followers, but at least I know that Camilla is not sleeping around.

Haven't seen Esbern at the main house (Lakeview), but since I have used all of the blades for Stewards or follower, he probably doesn't have much do to. The other Housecarls do drop by frequently for union meetings )?) there. The Cat lier showed up one day, but we managed to shoo him away. I

Uh-oh. Try fast-traveling anywhere. Is he appearing at the fast-travel points?

there are some random dragon quests with the blades. nothign special, just him giving you a quest to kill a dragon, located some where, and asking if you need the blades help

i remember my first character, after joining the blades, i was fighting this dragon, swingin wildly, and i see these bandit lookin people coming at me, so i swung and killed them, only to realize, it was the Blades coming to help. I couldnt see them in the dark,

That svcks. The Blades are badly handled in this game because they have no real quest, and because they try to force you to do something purely evil and unnecessary, but still... I hate killing friendlies.
