why so little Super mutants?

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 2:20 pm

Anyone else notice that there is only like 3 places to find super mutants, i was hoping they would be like Fo3 muntants so you can find them all over the wasteland.

The creation of Super Mutants in the West was put to a halt when The Vault Dweller killed The Master many years before this game had taken place - very few mutants had survived for that long, the few that survived would have been heavily trained such as Marcus and the Nightkin. Although this didn't stop mutants being formed by accident, and most of these 'accident mutants' are refered to as 'dumb dumbs'. Due to a large number of them not retaining their intelligence. In the East however, it was speculated that the Super Mutants there had been creating others in there home of Vault 87.

Unlike the east coast Super Mutants the West coast ones had a leader, Master, that got killed (in some of the possible endings) in Fallout (the first one from 1997). They haven't (in my understanding) been as big of a threath after Master got killed.

there was a whole birthing thing going on in a vault in FO3, that's why there were loads. but yeah i do miss them too. if the legion were made up of super mutant masters then they might of put up more of a fight :)

Sort of puts the Ghastly Scaveger perk on the back-burner. Is there a more useless perk in the whole game?

1- There isn't an FEV Vault churning them out en masse. Numbers are much lower because there are no reliable means of production.

2- They were done to death in FO3, maybe we'd like a change?

You REALLY found Lead Belly useless? Then again, maybe you don't eat/drink as much irradiated food and water as I do.

Good place for weapon rush.

Since doctors heal my radiation for 50 to 100 caps I don't really see any need for that perk.

I know this as ive beaten the first few games, im just saying random encounters never hurt anyone, metaphorically speaking of course.

Cowboy, closely followed by (in my first runthrough): Scrounger (like, I really need to find more ammo); Grim Reaper's Sprint (Only 20 AP? Auuughh....where's that 9mm?) Jury Rigging (The only three firearms I use a lot of are the only ones that repair each other...and there ain't many of them lying around the Mojave); Medicine (Pssst...Bud!...wanna buy a stimpack, going cheap?).

I'm hoping Nightkin respawn around there - I need/want all the Stealth Boys I can get my grubby hands on, and I didn't get a single damn one in my last runthrough of Come Fly With Me.

While I would have liked to see more uses for Confirmed Bachelor, especially after one of the best uses was patched out of the game, I was also pleased to be able to be a gay male in the game. :) So few games have an option like that. :) And having Black Widow and Confirmed Bachelor together you could be bi. :-D
