Coincidence, maybe -- other than that I can't figure out a link as these series' are so different in all possible aspects. People like many kinds of games.
And on the subject, I thought C&C went sour right after Red Alert (with Generals being a somewhat brighter spot after it -- though not because of the campaign).

I play it. (Actually I play Zero-Hour, and Dune)

When I read the post I did wonder if you meant the use of "C&C" ~"Choice and Consequences"; but I'm guessing you mean Steam Id's or usernames?

Have you played Fallout?
(Fallout... not Fallout 3)

Choices really, We all have games we like and there all from different genres, I know no one that only likes one type of game or series exclusively.

The mainline C&C series was fine (imo) until 4 when they decided to make changes for team based multiplayer (No base building, different classes, no resource collecting, etc)

Red Alert series. First was good, second one too -though it was corny. Red Alert 3 was painful, but not as bad as C&C4.

Generals I liked, though considering how some of its changes made their way into following games, I think it was a sort of test bed for ideas as well.

You're a strange man :) Red Alert is commonly thought to be the best C&C, along with Tiberian Sun. RA2 went a bit too tongue-in-cheek with the setting though, and RA3... well, had japanese with transformers and psychic schoolgirl commandos :lmao:

Agreed.

I thought they went way too futuristic and somewhat "circus-like" even (what with trained bears, squids and dolphins, and lightningstorms and whantnot). I preferred the more conventional take C&C and Red Alert had, where there was tech that felt - to me - as something new and magnificent in the world, which went alongside with the usual stuff (machineguns, bazookas, tanks etc). The newer stuff - aside from Generals - was just robots and aliens and magic weathercontrol and stuff (not my kind of thing, at least not in this series), and it just felt boring.

Yeah, I am. :P And, I said "went sour after Red Alert" - I liked it. I didn't like Tiberian sun, though, not all that much.

Yeah, RA3 should've been more http://uzumakisharegame.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/red-alert-3-art-big.jpg, and less that IMO :D

And IMO is awesome!

I personally preffer the EA C&C rather then Westwood C&C, it felt more enjoyabel with all the explossions, lasers, robots, aliens, AK-47
