why the dlc doesn't appeal to me : Fallout: New Vegas

To me the dlc isn't worth getting unless you get a lot of rewards by rewards i mean mostly weapons and some armor but i want to know if they could come out with a weapons pack? I would rather get a weapon pack then a short story with a couple weapons im never going to use

I doubt they'll do it. Maybe Josh Sawyer will get bored and pull out some of his gun-nuttiness to make a weapon pack, but again, I doubt it. Personally, I prefer the opposite. I'd rather have a DLC with no new items and a story than a DLC with just items, but a lot of them.

I seem to remember walking out of Zion with nearly 1,000Wg in weapons, armor and .45 ammo. The White Legs are pretty well equipped for dumb tribals.

yeah but there wasn't a lot of weapons is what im saying like i want a few AR'S LMG'S special weapons etc but i liked the tommy gun on there though but the auto pistol was pitiful imo

... I want more guns then story because you can only go through a story a couple times and actually enjoy it and the fallout nv stories svcked but i liked fallout 3/the dlc a lot

Then you might want to stay away from Fallout games and buy stuff like Call of Honor or something.

I'm the opposite - I'll happily settle for no goodies to take away, as long as there's a really engaging and interesting story. I don't think I'd get a simple weapons pack, seeing as there's plenty of weapons in the game already (although I don't play EW characters, and I've heard lots about them not having as much choice).

I want everything. Lots o' new stuff + story + area exploration. Because I'm greedy.

...I'd love a pack of new clothes, that are for the default body meshes. I know I can get lots o' clothes via mods but 90% of them are for the Type3 Body or whatever, which I don't want to use. Plus many of them are "sixah" clothes. I don't have a problem with that at all, but I'd also like more clothes more akin to, say, Joshua & Daniel's armor. I don't always want to be dressed like an animated barbie doll.

I'd pay $5 for a pack of cool new clothes & light armors....maybe I'm weird.

The weapons aint weak (well, 2 spring to mind Joshua's Gun, and the Sniper rifle sort of gun (The Buck or something) Which are good weapons, but i sold these as they didnt do anything for me and my Character, as i like the Gobi Sniper Rifle for long ranged sneak attacks, The Riot Shotgun for blood everywhere no messing attacks, The Light Machine Gun for the bum going boo need super high damage moments and ive just found a Minigun and the All American Carbine (Not used these yet)

The Armour is "different" and not so much as weak, but weaker than Power Armour (in my opinion)

I may have missed a gun or piece of special armour, so please instruct me if im wrong..

Kinda agree about the crappy weapons and armor. The only gun I'd use is the regulator, my character is all about energy weapons. The armor is useless to me as well (not a fan of the tribal/morman look). I'll just stick to my reinforced sierra madre suits.

Or then the 80's gamers generation. Back then we didn't have stories in games so we had to make do with gameplay, and it stuck. If i want a story i'll read a book, games i play for their gameplay :hehe:

Not that i would buy a weaponpack DLC, mind you, as a PC player i have all the guns i could ever need. Which reminds me, i have to try that new AK-103 mod...

but Fo3 didn t have a weapons only pack. Not sure what you re trying to get at. Some sort of Fo3 bash for no reason. Not a very good one though.

I think the game will do just fine without a weapons only pack.

I m pretty sure I wouldn t buy it. There are a ton of weapons in this game.

I d buy a pack that gave me more reasons to use the weapons though.

Fallout was/is known mainly for its great stories, not so much for the amount of stuff you can loot. If you want more stuff like weapons, armour and such, there are several good mods for that. If you're not playing on a PC, then you kind of lose out on that.

u're basicly looking at the best armor ingame for a shooter character , a 12.5 mm assault rifle ; energy weapons pistol that paralyzes on crit , a garden of edible food and clean water , alot of new recipes , yao guai meat .... come on man ... the download is worth it for just meeting joshua .... if u're smart enough u might even learn something from him
