Why the PS3 hate?

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 7:02 am

Why does Bethesda hate their PS3 customers? First the Oblivion DLC is Xbox live only and now Skyrim is going to have DLC that's Xbox only again? What a load of crap..., it's unfair to us onthe PS3 to not be able to play the content because we don't play on an inferior console...

Is it also fair to the PC users? granted i have both a PC and a 360. Honestly good for Microsoft and Bethesda for teaming up.

I play on the PS3 and I have no problem with XBOX getting said DLC a month early. MS paid for it. Sony didn't. Simple.

That's how I look at it, they also get to test drive it and break it in so I'm sure there will be bugs that get fixed so when we get it there shouldn't be any that aren't PS3 specific.

Gives them a month to patch problems that we now won't have to deal with. :)

I hear ya magwaaf. I play on PS3 too. I aint upset about though cause as i see it well... ive barely scratched the surface on the standard content in the game so why should I be upset that theres more to do? We'll get it eventually. the other reason i aint mad is cause Xbox 360 users pay $50 a year for survice and we dont pay anything so it's [kinda, sorta] fair. So dont hate. Just wait.

Bethesda doesn't "hate PS3 owners" they are just dealing with the reality of a multinational electronics manufacturer who made a "next gen" console in a way that causes Out of Memory errors on not just Bethesda games, but other games as well.

Honestly, I'm bummed out about the PS3 problems, but this isn't the first PS3 game I've played to have them. DC Universe Online had a RAM bug that lasted months. Game was unplayable

Alright lady's and gent's...

First off you DON'T have to pay Microsoft to get DLC... Other then buying the actually DLC. But when you pay you get to do multiplayer games, so most of Bethesda's games are single player... So you can get any DLC with a free Microsoft account. And for those who think there high on the horse because you don't pay for service... Xbox didn't get hacked like PSN did... So if anything that's where that money goes.

Second... Apple an oranges guys... The PS3 is an entertainment system. The Xbox is a gaming console... Sooo Xbox priorities are in games. Yes, technically the PS3 is a better system, but it's a little ahead of its time and actually jump ahead of main stream. Where a lot of developers have trouble making games for them. It's all new tech really.

And lastly... Like what the others said Microsoft pays... Maybe it's because people pay to use there multiplayer service, ya think? Don't really know but it's possible! And to prevent any wars or confusion... I have an Xbox and a PS3...

As much as I find it kind of stupid, I'm fine with it. I mean, that'll give 'em a chance to find some serious bugs and fix 'em before it comes to PS3. Besides, a month is really nothing.

Still not buying that one. Never had a problem with the PS3. If Sony were to say anything about it I would believe it.

Yeah... I used fake information for my PSN account, and certainly would never use a C/C for either Live or PSN, so what you're saying is by siding with Sony I was able to suffer nothing from a hack, and then receive 2 PS3 and 2 PSP games at no cost? Oh, and this counts for my US, my Canadian, and my Japanese PSN accounts? 12 free games sure can be a big loss.

As a former 360 owner, all I have to say is... sell your current unit, used, when it is close to 3 years. Then pick up a new one. That way you never have to deal with MS's "support" after your 3 year marker has slipped by. Actually, not sure if their support for RROD has gone even further down the toilet since then.

so long as PS3 actually GETS the DLC, i don't mind. if microsoft wants to [censored] themselves out for early DLC, they can go right ahead. But if we wind up with another Oblivion situation, i will be pissed.

Didn't say that being hacked wasn't their issue, but considering I received 6 games out of it - and no loss except for some time offline.

In the past, MS did well by their customers for issues with their consoles - just changing with the times is all. And it's a pity.
