Why is this happening?

This might be normal, but it didn't happen with Oblivion and it's confusing me, so I decided to post on here and see if anyone knew what this was. I have 2 characters on Skyrim, but they're on different accounts on my Xbox. My first character had a little over 500 saves. Then when I created my second character, on a completely different account, the saves started at 523. I found this odd because my brother has an accoutn also, but his saves don't count toward mine, or mine to his. Does anyone know if this is normal? Thanks.

That's normal. It's just marking your total save count.

But why isn't it happening to my brother's account then? I have 2 different characters, on 2 different accounts. So shouldn't the saves be separate?

When you say two different accounts, you mean two different gamertags?
