Why this hurts...

I have 5 hours of playtime so far. I am getting pretty nervous reading the posts concerning crashes and corrupt saves. And I know why this will hurt so much when it will happen (if it does): this game is freaking awesome!!! I mean, I am a huge fan of Fallout 3, but New Vegas brings something different to the Fallout Universe. I am really looking forward to discovering all I can. I have just found a new sheriff for Primm and am looking forward to my first taste of the gambling life. I will be patient, but I can't wait to get to the Strip. But, will I get there? Will I be able to explore to my pleasure? Or will I do a quest that will trigger doom? I sure hope the promised patch will permit me to take full advantage of this amazing game. I know I should stop...and wait for the patch...but I have not been pulled in a game like this since F3. This will hurt...so much...

I've already got the save file DLC error on my first playthrough so now i'm not really doing any quests just wandering around killing gecko's ants and raiders and to be honest I am still having fun. However I wouldn't risk it till the patch comes out to do come fly with me in novac or go to the strip. I have got to lvl 9 and discovered 50+ locations already and I save every 30 minutes on a new save file just in case and havn't had any issues. If you want just keep making mulitple saves then try loading your last save to see if you are ok from time to time.

The Strip isn't that fun of a place to be honest :P They should have added more poker games.. but whatever. Don't be scared though, just play and have fun with it. Idk how people got the corrupt save file thing, but it hasnt happened to me and I have 2 different characters, 70 hours into one of them and 16 hours in this current one. Just crashes and freezes, with occasional bugs.
