Why is my wife cheating?

Post » Tue May 29, 2012 7:43 am

Ok so I have my pimped out Solitude manor and married Camille, everything was good since the ceremony me and her got along nicely. Few days later I enter town and approach my house after a long day of [snip] beasts of the night. Upon arrival I enter my front door where the steps are and this man says to me "Good day sir" and exits my house! I was puzzled because I did not expect people to just walk into my house like that so I frantically look for my wife and go to our bedroom and she is lying asleep!!! WTF its 3pm and she is asleep!!!!

Is she cheating on me? I can't believe this!!!!

Yeah NPCs have relationship categories with other NPCs and are often meant to spend time with their friends. One of those categories is also "lover" so it is quite possible though that she and he have their relaionship defined by the game as "lover" in which case she kind of is cheating on you.

Sometimes NPCs wander into houses, it happens whether or not you're married.

Please do not bypass the forum auto-censor, it's there for a reason and intentionally bypassing it can get you a warning.

For starters, you shouldn't be out adventuring anymore. You need to get a job inside of Solitude, such as chopping wood, or smithing so you're home for dinner.

Spend your entire evening with your wide, sleep for the eight hours with her and get up, have breakfast and head off to work again.

Your days as an adventurer are over my friend but if you continue down that road, don't expect a woman to sit and wait weeks for your return. She might be your wife but she has needs too. It's time you start stepping up and be the husband she expects you to be.

Those are wise words. I been married to her for a few days and well we have not got freaky in bed because I come home all tired from chopping off troll heads but I see now that I got to put down my axe wear a red robe and drink my tea at home.

Heck Camilla was flirting with my elf...even after he helped Faendal 'get the girl'.

I have a feeling she just wants a huge harem or something. ^_^

Or you just seem like a better option compared to a professional wood-chopper and a sleazy bard?

NPC's will follow me into my house if I walk in and they're nearby saying one of their "Walk-by" comments.
They don't stay, though.

I don't have the will to murder a man who slept with my wife. I will talk to her and forgive her.

At least kill Sven, although.. Faendal is also underhanded... but at least he is polite and not annoying like Sven.

I guess the Daedric armor and two handed sword is compensating for something more important to your wife. :celebration:

 She is def cheating.

Maybe you're supposed to hide in your own house and catch her... there are a lot of side quests possible that are not documented.

It's a bug. Camilla still has either the Elf/Bard guy coming after her from the quest, even thought she is already married.

Kinda like Aerin following Mjoll around like a puppy, even to your house.

It beats walking into Breezeholm only to find a Whiterun Guard standing in my kitchen.
