Why I wouldn't get your hope up for Dawnguard

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 11:37 pm

A good DLC is about landmass, not the quest. Ask yourself if you still remember the story behind Operation Anchorage? Yeah.. thought so. Dawnguard is just another B movie end of the world tacked on 'guild' quest. Once its done its done, and there will unlikely be anything worth exploring in the Oblivion realm thats not related to the vampire plot. How many of Skyrim's guilds really stick out as having quality writing and memorable characters? Yeah.. thought so. Beth should stick to what theyre good at, designing worlds.

Cicero.
Also, this isn't going to decrease anyones excitement. If you don't want the DLC, don't worry, you don't have to purchase it.

You didn't ask for compexity, you asked for a memorable character. You seem to remember him well enough.

I'm getting my hopes up because of the lycanthropy perk tree, the vampire lord perk tree, crossbows, new armor, new characters, mounted combat, and new weapons. I've been super-hyped about everything Bethesda has ever done, and I've loved every single one of them.

Well you haven't seen either in their entirety so all you are doing is making a judgement without facts. In otherwords, talking out of your backside.

Exactly, this fool is just making assumptions.

Silly thread, for all the obvious reasons.

A new landmass would be great - Bloodmoon and Tribunal were great expansion packs. But then, I do remember the quests for them as well. Obviously. Otherwise, it would just be a bit of land to walk over. Or Fast Travel over, now.

Well a good DLC has landmass you say?

We get the soul cairn... A freaking oblivion realm.

If you played shivering isles you know that is possibly a VERY large land mass.

Oh I'm sorry, did bethesda show you anything of the DLC beyond the single trailer and minor details? Stop trying to discourage sales of this DLC.
