Why do you play on a console? (Thread 2)

I am NOT the OP.

Restating my opinion: I personally quite enjoy gaming on the PC, mainly because it can maintain a better image quality while still outperforming consoles.

@Klawed Flaw: No idea why your modem would be bound to a certain computer, then.

Because I don't have the moneys too build a computer/buy a new computer that's able to run today's games and most of my real life friends and people I know play on the Xbox 360. Also I'm use to playing on consoles.

Edit: I do somewhat game on the PC. I play the WW2 Medal of Honor games, Morrowind, Unreal Anthology and Battlefield 1942 on the P.C. Those are the only games I play on it. I would play more PC games, but my disc drive is broke. It's me dads computer I did ask him too buy a new one, but it really is kinda pointless when the PC is a couple of years old. They are cheap too buy, but he is planning on buying a new computer anyway. Also I can get most games by downloading them.

My parents won't allow me to build a new computer. I did tell them I could use our desktop's tower, and they seemed to warm up to the idea a bit more. I prefer PC gaming more because it lets me mess around with the games as opposed to being stuck just guessing why something won't work. I can play games of all languages, as well. If I want to play a PC game from Japan, I could with no issues. I also like how there's more games that cater to me.

I'm the kind of person who likes more complex games and likes to have more freedom in how they choose to play their game. Consoles are getting better now with that, but I still would rather have less restriction. I don't see it as the only way to game, just the kind of gaming that is more for me.

Trust me, you'd want to just leave the current desktop alone. If it's as old as you say, very few parts will be salvageable, and it will be a royal pain in the rear to get all the current parts out so new ones can be put in. Especially if you've never opened and cleaned the case before, the dust will be horrendous.

The tower will by far be the least expensive component.
