Wife came with baggage

Post » Sun May 27, 2012 2:13 pm

So I finally took the plunge and got married to the lion-hearted lass in Riften, my lovely Mjoll. The service went smoothly, the second time, after I hid Lydia's body in one of the private rooms in the chapel. Then we planned to meet at my place in Whiterun. It was to be the start of our new life together.

But when she arrives, I realize that she invited the spineless whelp, Aerin, to live in MY house with MY wife and me. I find this very insulting, and am wondering if there is a way to peacefully diffuse the situation before my warrior loses his temper with the scrawny lad.

You can try to politely ask him to leave.

Or you can divorce your wife.

Coincidentally, both options involve FUS RO DAHing either one of them oft of a cliff.

hah, I was worried something like this would happen, so I've been refraining from marrying her...

I remember reading from a skyrim interview before release that something like this would happen. Don't think you can change it.

I'd just send Aerin to sovengard (or however u spell Nord heaven)

Well, supposedley he's the reason your wife is still alive and well today. But living in your house? Might need to have a little talk with her about that :D

Sounds to me like he can't get over your wife, not the other way around. But why oh why did you stash Lydia's body in one of the private rooms of the chapel? There is a perfectly good lake just outside of Riften where people are prone to losing things and them never being found by anyone ever against except for yourself.

Lydia deserves better being tossed into a lake. I'm not sure how or why she died, nor how she made it to the initial ceremony in such a condition, but she more than earned her place in the Hall of the Dead amongst her ancestors. And I was being shouted at by Temple staff to get out, so it was somewhat hastily done.

And I might have to let Aerin slide for now, while I figure out what to do. But I swear to the Eight, if I find them sharing a bed, I will buy a couple Black Soul gems to ensure neither of them ever even see Sovengard!

Aerin is obsessed with the woman, but she obviously does not see him in that way at all, he's permanently in the Friendzone, here I'll write a prescription.

Take 1 dragon and hope for the best that the baggage gets handled by said dragon.

Just hope he isn't one of the bajillion NPCs marked with essential tags for unknown reasons (because the lizard in Riften market and his quest for a few gems is SO ESSENTIAL TO THE GAME).

Nope. Perfectly slayable. It just has negative repercussions with the ball and chain. I'm waiting for him to mess up and sleep in my bed, or steal a prized belonging before resorting to fighting him. I like the dragon idea, but I don't know how I'd get him out on the streets if it happened.

Too bad I haven't found any poison apples. <_<
