Will we be able to...

...respecify our perks in Old World Blues? I've heard we can respecify our traits from The Vault (http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Old_World_Blues#Overview), so I was wondering if we could. Personally, it'd save a heck of a lot of time being able to (say, pay 5000 caps per perk) change some of my main character's perks which are now redundant.

Repicking perks would most likely not be implemented. Example: If you took Here and Now and changed that to another perk. What would happen? Would you level down?
Edit: Skills...yeah, that would work. Just decrease some skills and you have skill points, you could put that to other skills. Don't see anything wrong with that.

Hmm, I never thought about that. I guess, although it would be nice to have, it simply wouldn't be practical. Thanks for the input!

I agree with this. While it would be nice, it would be highly impracticle, the sheer number of calulations that would need to be redone would be enormous, not to mention it will more than likely have a metric ass ton of bugs associated with it.

Skills, I wouldn't mind, but I could honestly care les (no offense of course) as the majority of my chars are near max now anyway.

None taken, I see what you mean about the skills, although you can't have 100 in every area (as far as I can figure out), you can max out all of the ones you'll actually need.

Just wanted to make sure. :P

But yeah, the majority of my characters have all but 3-4 skills at 100, so I wouldn't see the sense. But I would not object to the idea as it would be useful at lower levels. :celebration:

Yet. After the DLCs, there will be no decisions regarding where to put skill points. Unless you cap your level.

As for the perks, too complicated. And unnecessary.

My idea is that when you respec, you'll be knocked back to level 1, then gain enough exp to jump you back to your previous level. Similar to the character edit option when you leave Goodsprings for the first time.

So, yeah. I'd say you'll be able to repick perks.

 Why didn't I think of that? That makes a complicated situation a lot less complicated. This should make it possible, in theory. Although theory and practice are two totally different things.

Hehe first lesson of programming: try to use what's at hand before writing new stuff. If the game can handle multiple level-ups at once there's practically no problem. In fact there's no need for a DLC. You can just make a mod of it (Well, probably. If we can access that function.).

This is true. Still, can't beleive I completely blanked that solution out.
