Will HH bring Dynamic Weather to the actual Mojave?

I think it would be a bit strange for it to only rain in Zion..... *cough* *cough*

i would love for that too happen but i highly doubt it

edit:im usually a stealth character so i would mind having the rain make it harder for enemies to see me

Hope not.
While it would be cool at some times it would also lag the game up even more than it already does in the heavily populated areas.

It would be worthless to do so. Though rain is common enough in a place like Utah, the Mojave really doesn't rain that much. It would just be so rare that it isn't even worth putting it in. Also, that rain in Zion may not be dynamic, it could easily be a quest event.

you have lag issues in populated areas? How is it I'm so damned lucky to not get many bugs in games...or maybe I do and just don't notice it cuz I'm used to it from the prob over/around 300 hours of FO I've played (most of FO1, all or 3+NV+DLC+a second NV playthrough+messing with 3 mods, come to think of it, it might be even higher than that). When I do get lag, its usually either when I first enter busy areas like the strip (cuz of all the flashing lights n people) or in the wasteland when I'm not carrying much n moving fast. r u playing on PC? Also out of curiosity, does the engine for the games have a limit for the numbers of NPC's in an area? Cuz the strip has always seemed really empty to me, as has the world of both games. come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen more than ten or 15 people in any one place...even enemies.

Xbox 360, most lag occur in heavily populated places like Hoover Dam, Strip, Freeside, Goodsprings (firefight) and any other larger places with lots of NPC's.
The rain would most likely make those places lag even more and make other places that didn't lag before lag with the rain.
So no thanks, rain in HH is fine but rain in NV? Nope, unless it's toggleble(?) in options.

Doubtful I don't think any of the dlc will have an impact in the main game that would probably involve a ton of work to get it to function properly and most deserts don't have much weather let alone rain it would be very rare and for a very short period.

I'd like it, but it should be a rare occurance. Not like "Oh its been 10 minutes IRL, MAKE IT RAIN FOR 2 HOURS."

Seeing as how real life Las Vegas, only gets about 4 inches of rain a year. I don't think it's all that important that we get weather in the Mojave map.

other DLC has added stuff to the main game. Nothing big, but at least one thing I know was added was that if you kill Cesar they will talk about it on the radio. Unless that was added in an update. I assumed it was the DLC.

Simple solution. Don't let it rain in those places. Although I've never really had any trouble with lag in those places to begin with...I usually only suffer through lag at Camp Golf.
Dynamic weather would be a great addition to the game. The series has to upgrade itself visually somehow. This is a nice first step. I say if it can be done-then do it.

I shouldn't have to avoid places just cause they added weather effects.

I fully understand where your comin from. Didnt thry get rid of a lot of npcs in the patch though? Ive definetly noticed less people at the mojave out post and primm, and I think the strip and freeside have even less people than befor. I havent checked the dam yet. Maby they got rid of people for rain? Im just speculating though, Im sure theres probly some other reason they did it, probly just to make the game smoother.

I agree with the "the Mojave is a desert" sentiment.

It should've rained in Fallout 3 (thank gawd for mods), but in New Vegas? I'm not that concerned.

It does rain in many deserts now and then, y'know. :) But I do agree that by default, if they added dynamic rain, that it should be a rare occurrence. Definitely wouldn't be "realistic" to have it rain every few game days or whatever.

Tho I'm not all that into reality so I now make it rain frequently, because it's something different and I like the sound & reduced visibility.
