i heard that the online versus mode was you trying to do your story vs other online people doing their story i was wondering if 1 this is true and 2 will this change the other online players story??? if you understand

it is only one way to play online - you can also just play standard matches, like in COD or BC2. And no, it won't change their story. If you win, you play the next part of the story, if you lose, you just replay the map you lost. YOu can also skip around if you want - you can go right to the last chapter if you want to.

No they shouldnt adapt the story to if you win or lose, if you losee tough luck just replay it

If you can hop to the last chapter then does the game have a true ending?
