Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 9:01 pm

by well i mean at the lowest settings. the rest of the laptop's specs are fine, but i'm not sure about the video card, looks like it should be fine but i know mobile cards are a whole different beast for games. anyone have any experience?

Mobile Video cards, if they are 3D will work.

Problem is, I am not sure if the 9100 has the shader support to run this game.

No, it won't.
You might get the game to run on full-minimum, but it will never run 'well'.
Of course it still looks pretty good on full-minimum (which a lot of folks don't realize)!

considering most people can't run the game 'well', i guess it's subjective. i'm hoping for 25-30 fps in most circumstances, with everything on low setting. it says the card supports 3.0 shaders, but who knows.

update, the game runs ok, fairly choppy, but stable. i haven't had any crashes or any of the issues many are posting. using VATS for combat since realtime fighting gets very choppy, otherwise all is good! odd that interiors are slower than exteriors, but oh well.

that dll just made my system unstable and crashes at menus, as my vid card is a lot worse than the vid card the dll fakes.

I've played for a few hours with no crashes or other issues, doing pretty good once you get past the stutter and sluggishness.

Light sources are the most difficult thing for the game to render. Note, these are not just like light fixtures in the game, but sources of indirect light and shadow that are added to the cell to make them look more, well, atmoshperic.
