Will my items stay in this random box?

Post » Mon Jul 02, 2012 1:15 am

i placed my goods or some of them..least important ones that were weighting me down, (just because i still dont have a house), inside one of the chests in the temple of kynareth in whiterun
will they dissapear?
if the items in there change after sometime respawning new ones, how long will that take?
i cant stand the fact that my character is always suffering from too much weight problems so i need to store my items somewhere untill i get enough money to buy a house.

10 days. If you have a friend (or a "group" that you joined) you can use end tables, wardrobes and cupboards there as storage which WON'T disappear, as long as it doesn't say "steal from" in red on the thing when you "highlight" it.

If you met someone in Riverwood who agreed to help you, they are your friend. Thus, you can use any cupboard, wardrobe or end table in their house to store your stuff in forever.

That said, just go outside of their house SAVE.. then wait eleven days. If it's still there, you know it's a safe place to keep your stuff. If not, you should reload and try a different container.

There's quite a few around, believe it or not. :P

These locations do not respawn and are considered safe:

Unfortunately the Temple of Kynareth is not on there. I skipped the Companions questline so I do not know if they give you your own room (which would be safe) like many of the other guilds do. As you can see, Jorvaskr is also not on the safe locations list.
