I am extremely frustrated. The last time i played, i saved it when i was done like i always do which leaves me with an auto save and my manual save. Now a few days later, i go to play again and if i choose continue at the main menu, it freezes while loading every single time. If i go to manually load it, (either the auto or manual save) it will say downloadable content i had is not available and some things wont be available. Then it says, my storage device is not available, load is cancelled. It says it everytime. I checked the storage device and everything is fine. What happened????? What can i do??????

Do a search next time, cluttering the boards with the same stuff is not helping. You are experiencing the DLC corruption bug, it corrupted your saves and all you can do is delete them and start over. The patch will fix the bug and the general consensus is it will come out when the first DLC does Dec 21st.

first, sorry for the repost. and i did search but i guess for the wrong terms. So my only option is to completely start the game over?

then u have to yet again delete your save game and start again the coming patch is supposed to deal with the problem behind it but will not save your corrupted saves they will forever be useless

Wait, WHAT?! Is this true? They said they can't fix the DLC corrupted save games? If that's true then I've lost a lot of hours and won't bother with the game anymore.

what you have to do is delete every single file for vegas you have from your hard drive, not from the game but hard drive (especially the dlc) then refresh your cache and then restart all over again, if you dont want to restart over again.... just wait for the patch like the rest of us and play black ops or fable III or assassins creed.... basically anything else because its going to be awhile

If you did the Come Fly with Me quest, where you help the ghouls with their spaceships, it is normally the cause of the DLC error. Simply load a game prior to completing that quest and you should be fine. Don't finish the quest, just access Manny's computer in Novac to progress with the main quest.

listen everyone. the save file is not corrupted. some people are stating to delete everything and start over. If you want to start over that is fine. if you check your hard drive your save file wont sho up corrupted so if your like the half of us waiting for th second patch to come out to play the saved game that has a corrupted dlc just save for file and start another if you feel like it. you dont have to delete it. i am so sick and tired of people giving the wrong information on this.
