Will other consoles get a beta?

I was wondering if Xbox were the only ones who were going to get to beta test this game.

Why would other consoles, time it comes to them... it would already be officially released.

Why would the PS3 or PC get to beta test something already being beta tested? That makes no sense.

Maybe if they decide to make a beta for the third dlc since it is not time exclusive.

Not likely, the DLC is the same on all platforms. I don't see a reason to retest the same content three times.

Well some bugs do seem to exist on some consoles and not the others.

Water bug glitch familiar to anyone?

I say they should test all platforms to make sure there all going to be bug free.

(Of course this could just be me wanting free access to the xpack  )

just a question... i was wondering if... the guys who got the beta are they the only testers of bethesda?
No certainly not so they are testing their game before selling it i hope. On every plateform i mean you know, to avoid all those annoying little glitches.

Why would the beta be a month later when the 360 is exclusive for a month. That would mean Dawnguard wouldnt be released for almost two months after 360. Would the beta during the timed exclusive go against the 360s exclusiveness? Which would make more sense to do it that way.

Ok you're right there should be no beta after Xbox.

If there were going to do one they'd have to do it at the same time as Xbox (which might break the deal)

I doubt they'll have another public beta for the same content.

Why do you doubt that? Different platforms. They give the pc a beta before every update. What works for one system doesnt allways work for another. Then again you may be right... who knows.

I know ps3 hasn't got it yet, but Xbox didnt have a beta for 1.6 patch, it was just released. I dont think the other platforms will get a Beta. I'm not saying this is right, but i think it's what will happen.

There are two classes of bugs they will be looking for:

1) Cross-platform bugs - most bugs will be similar on all platforms
2) Platform-specific bugs - some bugs will be particular to a given platform

Frankly, I expect there to be fewer bugs platform-specific because they are working with the same engine as the existing game, whereas I think that most bugs will be cross-platform. They will be, and probably already have been, internally testing the game, and I expect they will consider that sufficient to find any extra bugs in the PC or PS3 versions. In any case, while I hope Bethesda takes into account all the beta feedback, I think that building hype over the release was a big part of this beta test for two reasons. First, they are doing a very short beta test, merely two weeks before their tentative release date. That suggests that they aren't expecting to do substantial changes for the final version. Second, they rolled out 1.6 without attending to bugs found by PC beta testers, which suggests that fixing every bug found in beta tests isn't a priority.

Finally, doing a beta test for paid DLC is very different from doing a beta test for a free update. They have to devote substantial time to reviewing applications, promoting the beta test, choosing testers, and following the beta tester forum. Also, they are giving away the DLC free to the beta testers, so they lose revenue for every tester. For all these reasons, I think it is extremely unlikely that they would do Dawnguard beta tests on other platforms.

But they should at least play-test all platforms they made a HUGE error with the PS3 during 1.5 (an error which the non-informed are no doubt still suffering from)
