Will there ever be a DLC map pack

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 1:56 am

I'm just wondering will we ever be able to expand to new places like Hammerfell?

Why would you call it a map pack?
This isn't call of duty
TES games get EXPANSION PACKS not map packs that you throw money away on
Expansion packs actually add something substantial to the base game

and no nobody knows what the first one is.

Each game is set in a new province of the land, so I doubt very much they will release a whole new one within the same game. Although they may allow you to visit a small area of one, as they have in past games.

Maybe they should make it so people cannot make topics until they make at least 10 posts.

This is not call of duty. An expansion pack will likely be made, butprep ably not to Hammerfell or other province. Probably will be made to go to another daedric realm like SE.

see this is why CoD has made gaming vastly decline. now adays everyone wants "online portions" or use terms that in no way fit the game/game style.

honestly the 90s were the highpoint of gaming (anyone rememberNew World Computing?).

ANYWAYS back on topic, we will deffinitely get expansions as is elderscrolls tradition (Morrowind got Bloodmoon, Oblivion got shivering isles), but i highly doubt it will be an entire province. however i do believe we will get a new area, just not the size of an entire province

Welcome to the forums, I think everyone knows what you are referring to.

The previous game in the TES-series (oblivion) had an expansion in another location, shivering isles.
Some hope we will see one but noone knows....except Bethesda :)

Yes they're probably will be a expansion pack... i mean, they'll try milk this game for all they can. But, its only been 4 month, they're still working on bugs and making DLC's.. give it time, Shivering isles (Oblivions Expansion) came after alot of DLC's :)

There will most likely be new lands to explore in DLC. Don't remember a particular spot they said this, but Todd Howard did say they want to do a lot, and fairly large DLC packs. We probably won't get to see a whole new province like Hammerfell, though.

That was Solstheim. Morrowind also had the city of Mournhold, which, with the expansive Old Mournhold/sewers, was actually a fairly large addition as well.

New nations will be available in a new game. Expansions might have expanded maps added to the game.

yes yes omg yes. and 3do.

I miss the Might & Magic Games... the new company made it lame. ( Day Of the destroyer was the best IMO, so many races and i LOVE that when u hover over each item, it tells you a story about it )

Luckily, that kind of stuff will be free in Skyrim -

In between those expansions, Howard is committed to releasing smaller pieces of content for the game.

"Because that gap is going to be bigger, we want to put little things out for free in between. We've already done that for PC with the high-res pack. We're trying to figure out what those things are."

OMG YES! I still have a pristine copy of DOTD i only play on special occasions. It is by far my fav game of all time. (Although i never recruit dragons, they make it to easy). My grp was always "Warrior, Cleric, Necromancer, Minotaur, Dark Elf"
