Will they fix the Lydia marriage problem?

What's your opinion on the current Lydia marriage bug? Do you think they will fix it in a few patches, I know this isn't top of their list to fix, but I would love to marry her. Looking to hear some opinions though!

I commend you, for I think you're one of the five people who haven't killed her on sight. Bravo!

The way to marry her is to become Thane of Whiterun.

I am wearing the Amulet of Mara and she has no dialogue for it.

The bug is confirmed on the uesp, I am on 360 so I don't have access to console commands. : /

A Bethesda Dev (the one that pops in here from time to time) assured me it was on the list. I'm assuming the first data patch slated for January will fix her and many others.

Course I am on the PC so what I want I can have, but still would like to see it fixed for the little people.

Hopefully they adjust her attitude after marriage.

Can you imagine her tone if you ask for a sandwich?!

I hope they fix this bug, for my first character i wish to marry Lydia since i have been keeping her alive all this time, plus she seems to be the best one to marry anyway. There are a few other NPCs i would have but they are not able to wed. e.g. Saphire from Thieves Guild.

Is Lydia the only bugged one for marriage? seems odd if so.

It would be nice if it was fixed seeing as though she's the only woman most of my characters have wanted to marry. Married Mjoll once because my character couldn't marry Lydia and she never shut the hell up. Left her home and picked right back up with my cute Housecarl.

Why is Lydia the best to marry? There is not a difference between other marriages? or am I wrong?

I don't get the "Interested in me?" dialogue option with Lydia either but I'm not bothered by it. There's alot of other good lookin' ladies around Skyrim to marry. Ysolda in Whiterun is a great choice. Jordis-The Sword Maiden (your Housecarl in Solitude), and many others.

The Dovahkiin should be allowed to have mistresses in each city he owns a house. The Dovahkiin may only be married once but he must be allowed to spread his seed throughout Skyrim.

For my character, she just fits. He is a Breton and I don't want my character marrying some ugly ass orc or dark elf. She is loyal, tough, and can travel. She isn't bad to look at and she is "sworn to carry my burdens" . My character has had her by his side since she was given to him. A little attitude and blocking here and there is tolerable compared to the weak characters of other NPC choices.

agreed, there isn't enough choice to be promiscuous in Skyrim.
