Windhelm mess...

Post » Thu Jul 05, 2012 8:44 am

When visiting the WIndhelm market earlier, all the previously immovable items (hanging food, weapons etc) were spread out at all angles, floating in mid air infront of the stalls.

The items are still in their rigid state (no havok settle) just out of place.

Any clues as what could cause this? any insight would be most appreciated.

I'm running a couple of mods, but nothing that should directly impact Windhelm, and no other cities seem to have this problem.

Basically the same thing happened to me. Not sure but I think I saw this for the first time sometime after the Civil War quest.

Any ideas how to fix it? Picking them all won't help. They just gonna respawn in the same state after a while.

I don't know if simply moving items counts as stealing. If not then you could try doing that, or if you're on PC you can use console commands most likely.

I don't know much about it but I read that with the Dawnguard DLC vampires attack cities and cause some havok. Sometimes even killing everyone around. I have absolutely no idea if any of this is related or if you even have Dawnguard but figured I would share just in case.

No this (Windhelm mess) happened to me and others before Dawnguard was even released. I don't know the specific reason for it. Btw after a while they dropped to the floor and remained there in my save.

It's not a big deal but it looks ugly.
