Wow Can't wait til this mod is finished just a question... You know the argonian shadow scale thing ? Maybe If you choose to be an argonian shadow scale you get an alternate start or something ? ;D

That's a cool idea, but I don't see a way that it would work with, or benefit our story. TDBC takes place after you've completed The Dark Brotherhood.
I wonder if there are any alternate start Shadowscale mods...

I believe there is one titled "Enter The Shadowscale". Basically if you start out as an Argonian with the Shadow as your birthsign the quest starts. All it does is place an NPC on the jetty directly outside the exit to the Imperial Sewers (after you finish the tutorial) that you are required to kill in order to complete a "mission". Once this is done the DB quests can start as normal.

I think the author created a sequel which adds a Shadowscale only hideout filled with tons and tons of Shadowscales, but I didnt find this to be too exciting.

Oh wow it's finally coming to a head!

I remember when this was founded back in the day. So glad it got scooped up by people who could eventually see it through and so very proud to see it finally coming together.

So excited to see what has become of this monster!!!

PS: I'm not quite sure how close you guys are but if you are in need of any quick fixes you might contact the SureAI team since they are just finishing up their latest project Nehrim and might be able to lend out some hands to double-time you to release.

Oh, I did not see this post. Thanks for the heads up. I will add that to my to-do list.

How come you guys need level designers? Your progress bar in the other thread says that dungeons and sanctuaries are 100% complete....

Dungeons and sanctuaries aren't the only levels you know.

True, just everything except for the scripting and quests were at 100%, so I assumed that everything else was done.

Close. We're working on our biggest custom location. It's fairly large, which is why it's taking so long. Not to mention that there are about 4 of us left out of 30, and we can only work when we have spare time.

I'm just letting you all know that the release of Awakening may be pushed back to some time in 2011, rather than holiday 2010, which is already upon us... Things are lagging behind in terms of texturing, which is holding us back from doing anything else. If anyone is good at texturing or knows someone that can help, please send them our way. We could really use the boost.

In instances where texturing is holding up all other progress, most would probably just use placeholder textures, no?

Aye, but our texturer also does the collision.

Anyway, offer for anyone:
Please send me a PM if you can help us out. We are so close...

I've waited soooo long for this mod, but unfortunately I can't do modding at all... I'd wish it could be completed soon. Good luck! :hehe:

In response to this post:
Lol we thirst for a new chapter too Swiftblade, when is DBC coming out? ;)

Uuuuuhhhhh.... That custom location that I mentioned above is, let's say... 95% completed. There are only two rooms that need to be furnished left. I would like to get that done right now but I'm waiting for my superior to tell me what goes in them...
After those rooms are done, we have, I think, two scripters on board. So depending on how fast they work, I'm guessing we'll be all done some time in the first-quarter of 2011.

We have a whole bunch of beta testers. I'm hoping that many patches won't be needed.

I have no idea how to texture, but I do find myself an accomplished artist, concepts, ect. I could also do some voice acting if needed. If there is anyway I can help to make this come out faster, I would LOVE it. I'd even put in some donations >< Seriously. If I can help, send me an email or something.

A few more http://www.modcraft.net/community/index.php?autocom=gallery&req=user&user=2633&op=view_album&album=208 have been posted... I guess it's time to stop taking screenshots and getting back to work :sigh:

In terms of help, I don't think we need anything major, but it's always nice to have some folks that can pitch in a bit here and there. Have a look at this http://www.modcraft.net/community/index.php?showtopic=14395 and post your credentials in the appropriate section.
