Withdrawals!

I was without power for several days last week (Tennessee here) as well. I could do with a break from the storms. It was probably good that Skyrim and I were forcefully torn apart, though, because I had finals in my two summer classes.

I had to take an online placement test in math, computer science, and English for my college, I had 4 hours to complete it and only finished math when the power went out. You have no idea how much I freaked out. I finished the test with an hour left but man, that was scary.

Wow, I would have been freaking out, too. I had a paper due in one of my classes, and without power I wasn't able to get onto my desktop to work on it. I was really kicking myself for not saving a copy to a thumb drive or emailing myself a copy so I could drive somewhere that had power to finish it. Luckily, I got power back a couple of hours before it was due.

I was kicking myself for not doing it earlier. I had a month to do it, and two weeks of nothing but free time after high school ended.

Well, I don't blame you for not getting it done sooner. The whole reason I didn't get my paper done sooner is because I was busy playing Skyrim.

Well, that's good news!

Bah, you kids today.... Why, when I was a boy, we had to log on to the internet by whistling into a pay phone! Uphill both ways! In the snow!! And we considered ourselves lucky, kids in poor countries had to pretend they had internet access, yodeling and crap, or yelling those weird ululations. And the OP's Mom is in town? Cherish these moments, I never had parents, I was raised by stray dogs, my address was "that alley behind the liquor store."

Sheesh. Kids today.

That's my average week.

Wish I still cared like that. I'm 300 hours in and can't seem to get motivated to play any more.

By Sithis, must have been a bad storm.
I live in Southern Ohio, and it was a bad storm. Many people in my town lost their electricity. I was one of the lucky few who didn't lose their electricity. My nephew was also lucky. The storm's aftermath is still lingering a bit, sadly.

I remember the days of dial up... Oh how I hated them...

Go spend some time with your mother! Show her compassion and love! Show that you care about her, her feelings, and her emotions. Express yourself, and your heart!

I so spend alot of time with her. I've stayed up late talking the last three nights!...after putting my son to bed!

I just need a two hour fix!

Or possibly... Actually go out and do something in the real world...

I know shocking as it may be, it IS a possibility.

Or the alternative go LARPing

Like work 60hrs a week? Check. Like dinner with friends? Yup. I just need to decompress ya know? Golfing pod la ma?ana may help but a TES quickie would do wonders!
