Wondering where I can find BootsHats that I can Enchant with

Post » Mon May 28, 2012 2:53 am

Anyone know where i can find some boots that i can enchant with fortify smithing? I feel like i may have seen actual blacksmith's boots a while ago, but i'm not totally sure and i can't find them in any of my storage. I also would like to know of a hat that i can enchant with fortify smithing, if anyone knows where i could find that too.

Thanks for the help :)

Don't think you can enchant boots/hats with those enchants. I know you can put fortify alchemy on a hat/helmet though.

Hmmm... You sure? If so, damn, lol. I'm trying to enchant a full smithing wardrobe with the fortify smithing enchant.

You can only enchant bracers, chest armor, rings, and necklaces with smithing enchantment.

Check the clothes shop in Solitude. R... Rainments???? You'll know you're in the right shop if it's high elf with a [censored] attitude.

I enchanted a pair of gloves & the blacksmith's apron with the smithing enchant. Where are you getting this info? I'm not questioning you, i'm just wondering cuz i couldn't find a page that had any of this info. A link would be great if you have one.

yeah do those 4 with black soul gems and 3 perks in enchanting. you can hit 100+ with that.
also remember that if you do this and then get another perk in enchanting (4/5) then you can bump your weapons and armor again (with more ingots/materials)

Because you can't read a wiki on Skyrim Enchanting.

The best way to tell what can and can not be enchanted with a particular enchantment is to select the Soulgem first, enchantment second, then select the item to be enchanted. Greyed-out selections can't be enchanted with that particular enchantment. Don't see the point of Blacksmithing not being available everywhere, nor fire damage not on gloves when you can fistfight, but there you go......

This. Bracers or any hand wear. Unless it changes when you enchant skill reaches 100 (as I am at 90 right now). My questions is whether the enchantment perk for 25% enchant increase for skills on armor applies to clothing as well. I have yet to chose this perk but just like the poster above I like to enchant the blacksmith apron and gloves, both of which have 0 armor rating.
