Working well

I had to wait until the end of the day to pick up my copy. I got worried given how many negative posts were here. After installing and playing for a couple of hours, I wanted to post my positive experience with this game. The install was easy, error free and pretty fast (I had CD from Gamestop, which installs to Steam anyways).

I only played offline so I could get used to it and ensure my key configs were comfortable. While offline, it had good FPS and the gameplay was fun. No issues here at all.

My rig:

Windows 7 64-bit SP1
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB DDR3
2 x GIGABYTE GV-N26SO-896I GeForce GTX 260 (SLI)
Intel Core i7-990X Extreme Edition Gulftown 3.46GHz hexacore cpu
ASUS Sabertooth X58 LGA 1366
Western Digital Caviar Black WD1001FALS 1TB 7200 RPM hard drive
Turtle Beach Ear Force AK-R8 (sound card and earphones)
CORSAIR 750TX 750W power supply
ASUS VW266H Black 25.5" 1900x1200 LCD Monitor

You must be blind then, didn't you encounter problems with AI? or graphics? or smart system movements? if you didn't are you sure you played brink?

the explosive's are even of then the game should have them, when you throw them the explosion look like a match flash.

and the problems arn't individual they're global meaning everyone having them and will be having them as long as the game will be in this stage.

Thanks for the comment. I'm sorry you seem to have a negative experience. But it seems maybe you misunderstood the purpose of my post. It's the Hardware / Software Issues PC forum and I saw many people who had crashes, glitches, or poor FPS -- truly disappointing for them. I wanted to provide my experience to give them, and any others reading, some hope that it can and does work on other systems. True, I only got 3 hours of play in last night and stuck to offline for now (due to real life considerations) but it was a fun 3 hours. But then, this wasn't a post about gameplay - it was to confirm my rig could handle the game and it didn't have issues. I'll take the time to focus on what you ask:

AI - I've seen no AI issues that appear due to my hardware or software. They acted and reacted fine, no sitting idle the way AI did in games built 15 years ago like Daggerfall or even BattleField2 back in 2006. Maybe the AI wasn't so smart, but that's the game AI design, not my hardware / software.
Graphics - no issues, nothing. (I'm not saying they can't be better, or that I expected more, just that I didn't get any failures, glitches, or crashes like others reported.)
SMART system - worked fine with the rig I have, though it was implemented a bit awkwardly and took some getting used to. (Is SMART what I expected when the game was announced and I watched all the videos and learned all about Parkour? No, but that's gameplay / game design, not a hardware or software issue)

I had no issues with game installation either - was smooth and fast. I didn't have the "54% ..." issue that others reported.

Other then my video driver crashes popping up I have not noticed anything that some players have complained about. I have played for about eight plus hours without issue (and then the vid errors started). SMART seems to work just fine for me. In fact, I just finished getting the three-star parkour challenge complete and it was a blast. I have had the most fun playing with my friends in co-op so far then in any game I have played in the last several years. My only disappointment was that only eight maps came with the game (and I knew that before I purchased).
