world of warcraft....

My issue is not so much that they've added a new race based off an April Fools joke, but more because they've clearly based the new race off http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/76/Kungfupanda.jpg Also, it honestly seems like Blizzard is just screwing their fanbase in preference for expansion into asia with gimicky features like the new Pokemon battles. Also, the plan to "squishy" numbers to deal with exponentially increasing gear levels and stats is an extremely lazy way of dealing with the problem.

I loved WOTLK, thought Cata was alright but could have been better, but now I have no desire whatsoever to continue with WoW when Mists of Kung Fu Panda is released.

I quit Cata a while back, totally fed up by the game. I could've returned later on, were it not for the announcement of The Old Republic, the next top MMO for release. So the only thing Blizzard will see from me is maybe a visit back now and then, but no major investment. And of course Diablo 3 and SC2 Heart of the Swarm, but that's about it.

I know, I went a little to far. Still doesn't explain the Worgen and the make-over of the Draenei.

Aren't the Draenei just a well-proportioned elf-like race with hooves now? If so, I find that dumb plain and simple because Draenei from RoC/FT were uber-cool

How 'bout a new Warcraft RTS game? I hope and dream but I know MMO's just make them too much money nowadays :(

Cata will be my last WoW update, played the game for 2 months in summer and I was planning on maybe giving it another go soon but now I just don't want to anymore....

EVER the game has lost me

.... blizzard should seriously start making new games and focusing on their other titles like diablo 3 and SC2

Blizzard I'm very disappointed, talk about lame ass ideas... PANDAS GOD DAM PANDAS

wow is now one big comic fest

You did not play WC3 then I presume?

I see Mists of Pandaria as one big joke gone way way too far. Glad I stopped playing.

I stopped a few months into Burning Crusade, and never looked back. Good thing I quit WoW when I did, too.

Well, China is their main growth market now. Actually, I'd wager its their only growth market.

I'm right with you, there. I won't be raiding next to Kung Foo Panda or leveling my characters to 90 in China. Won't even do 4.3. It's kinda been destroyed in my mind, now.

Here is an image which helps sum up my sense on it, for those of us who are (or recently were) WoW players:

Never liked WoW and only played because a friend got me the game which I invested money in for the 2 other expansions. Have to say this is the SHORTEST time i've ever played an MMO averaging about 5 maybe 6 months starting this year. In that time I was able to get 3 characters to max level with raid gear, and about a handful of others to level 20 maybe 25 it is disgraceful. Can see now my judgment about the game was right and it was pure hype nothing more. Only thing I even remotely enjoyed was the huge PvP battles but those broke down due to imbalanced classes such as frost mages.

Have to say WoW probably had a good thing going and it's heading into the crapper because they don't know what to do with it.

They just lost another 800,000 subs in the last quarter, bringing the loss to 2 million in one year. It doesn't surprise me really.

Whatever they were passing around the office at Bliz HQ when they came up with Mists of Pandaland..

... that stuff is not legal in the 50 states.

Netherlands. Maybe. Maybe. But, not state-side.

I don't agree that the game is just hype. To the contrary, IMO it's the best, most carefully-managed and most comprehensive MMO to date.

...but damn, what has gotten into them lately? Some other strange stuff happened too, over the past year - but this one is a real doozy omg.

Actually Pandaren have been one of the bigger future add rumours on WoW since; well since the game started. Rumours were always reporting that they've been coming soon.

Just surprised after the infamous Pandaren April Fools joke they actually did it.

If anything it suggests a lack of creativity from WoW; not weird ideas from Drug taking.

Yes people keep saying that... as though the people like me are supposed to suddenly be amazing and happy to have them because of it. It makes no difference to me...

Perhaps.

I favorited this video on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ae9_XHlaC8k it's the only video that's linked on my channel which was made by someone else..

I think many people where counting on an Emerald Dream expansion and were blind-sided by Kung Fu Pandas.
