Is it worth to...

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 12:55 pm

... pay a visit to all ruins, caves and so on? I finished all main, guild and daedric quests. And I unlocked all achievements. But there are still some places that I have not discovered (or entered) on the world map. Am I missing anything interesting, or would you say, that it's not worth to discover every location?

(sorry for bad english :P )

I don't think anyone can really answer that for you.

I've been to most and frankly. Unless you REALLY like looking at architecture they're mostly all the same sort of deal.

There's not often any decent things to find or do. Not unless you're making it a mission to hoard certain things.

There's several small caves that don't show up on the map after visiting so explore everywhere to experience everything

If you enjoyed exploring, you wouldn't need to ask this question.
If you don't enjoy exploring, then no, it's not worth to visit all the caves and ruins.

OK, I do like exploring. :P

Problem is, that I had planned to play Mass Effect 2 until ME 3 arrives. I don't have much free time at the moment. Yeah I really like looking for wonderful places (in an architectonic way) so probably keep playing Skyrim. ^^

Every dungeon has a story. It is waiting for you to discover it.

For the sake of exploration and completion, yes, definately.

Not only that, its fun.
Or, alternatively, make a new character, stay clear from the main quest and try to find *everything* there is to find prior to starting/completing it.

I check uesp and if it's one zone i clear it when i find it. Is fun to discover quests that way. If it is 3 zones i wait until i get the quest

It's fun to go out in the wilderness and do whatever no matter if you've finished it or not. :D

I don't think it is really worth it to try and discover every location. I would instead make another character to play through with and play differently so I explore places that I missed that last time through. That's just me. Sure it would be cool to experience those places since you've never seen them. But seeing as you have done so much it's not like you are gimping yourself, just missing out on content.

Definitely worth exploring the dungeons, in Skyrim most if not all of them tell some sort of story, so there will be some interesting stuff to find

Making a new character and then trying to find/explore different areas will probably be more rewarding. At the level you're at, you will walk right through most enemies, so clearing the caves and ruins for little reward will probably seem like a chore.
Starting with a weak character again (and perhaps a different spec) will add an element of danger and likely be more fun.

I put 600+ hours into my first character, and still didn't go into every draugr pit or do every quest. There is a lot to do out there...and yes it is worth it. Subsequent run throughs have different and new things happening.

I love exploring new locations, to see what kind of location it is, what kind of loot there is. Just yesterday I explored a random location I came across. Some nice loot, including an Ebony War Axe (might sell it, already have an Ebony Sword and the axe is so much slower), and it had the second word to Elemental Fury.

You could try roleplaying...

As for your question, it would be best to create a new character. It would make skyrim less repetitive than so on your current dude.

As for Mass effect 3. Played the single/multiplayer demo early today thanks to my bf 3 purchase.

You will be pleased indeed good sir.
