I would hope for an update for the Inventory categories!

I really don't mind much, but it would make things A LOT easier.

Like, separating potions and poisons, shields and armor, maybe even make your own page or category for stuff like Swords vs Axes vs Maces etc.

Anyone else agree?

Not only will it help you when you are trying to pick something from your inventory, it will also help when picking from a container/chest/safe

100% agree! Its nice and organized going into a container so why not when your trying to retrieve an item? Its not even in alphabetical order.

Wouldn't mind seeing the normal inventory groups for containers.

No it doesn't categorize swords, axes etc. but weapons, armor, potions etc.

Not gonna happen, the UI is working as designed; poorly :P :bolt:

But yes, every PC player should get SkyUI. It makes life so much easier ^_^

And Categorized Favourites. They work together amazingly. Although not to the level of what the OP wants, but considering nobody needs that because they don't use every single item in the game away the two mods should be more than enough to get by on.

I use a follower as a portable chest, I have lydia left in dragonreach. Dump everything in the chest in farengar room and then get lydia to take it. Its not great but at least items are easier to find without scrolling through absolutely everything

An official update would be great. For PC users http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=3863 and http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=2730 mods do the trick.

And Categorized Favourites.

Yes, definetly. That too is essential.

I've been working on some changes for SKSE and skyui which will allow full item sorting within skyui without requiring mods that rename items. Including weapon and armor sorting. I'll post some info soon.

Not for console users.

I highly recommend that bethesda implement it in a future Dlc/expansion. The time it goes into coding categories to containers is well worth the enjoyment players will receive.

Ouch. But so true!
I miss Oblivion's inventory screen. I could actually see what I have and what I'm wearing... rather than this Aeroglass abomination in Skyrim.
