I feel that a lobby system is key and it would make it easier to play with friends

At this point I want a CoD matchmaking system, not the smuck that's currently in place.

Heaven forbid a developer not copy and paste aspects of other working titles. Don't be original...yeah....that's it. There should be a way to hang out, but to even say do it like CoD is silly. How about playing CoD then. Since there seems to be a problem with adapting.

Excuse me? Most people find the current system to be complete garbage. I'm sorry you can't accept the fact that your in the minority.

I'd be more concerned with a game that is operational, than I would be with with a lobby/matchmaking system. Next, we'll see messages wanting to see K/D.

You obviously put way to much stock into having others back up your thoughts. What you're asking for is an afterthought to operations. So get to the back of the line, behind those concerned with getting to actually play the game with no lag issues. Also, don't be so uptight. I may be in the minority, but I'm also not a sheep. I independently and confidently say I believe Splash Damage is doing their best to make a working title. I don't need someone to say "yeah, I say the same thing" for my statement to have merit. They'll get it up and running appropriately. Most MP games at launch have issues. Shouldn't expect anything less here.

I would also love a party system.
While in a group of five friends we gave up trying to find a match in freeplay where we could all join up.
Instead we did an Open Campaign, which was fine, but it would be nice to get thrown into the pit with all human players.
Considering this is a team based shooter it would be nice if we could bring our team.

That said, I would much rather Splash focus their efforts on the networking issues giving many players lag (including myself during some sessions) and then roll out this feature.

I agree with you 100%. It's your opinion on the matter and you are just sharing it. You don't need anyone saying "I agree" in order for it to be your opinion. Although my opinion is to put something in the game to party up before searching for games but again that's my opinion and I don't need anyone saying "I agree" or "You are in the Minority if you think that". I like brink because it's a one of a kind game. All games have bugs when they first come out and that is a fact. This was not to be exceptional in that matter. After 24 hours, they tell us they are investigating the issue with lag. To me that is good customer service. Unlike some games, which I shall not name, where they keep the gamer's waiting for weeks for even a clue as to an investigation. IMO once the bells and whistles get tuned, then this game has me hooked as far as multiplayer goes. I sold Black Ops and Crysis 2 because of this game and despite the reviews I am 100% proud of my purchase. Anyways, to not change the topic here is my opinion on a lobby system. I could care less for a lobby system. Now as far as a party up system before the match, that needs to be implemented

Have to say I'd welcome some type of party system. Playing with a group of my friends and finding games we all could be in is generally what makes the game more fun for me

Lobbies are not needed, at all. Parties would greatly help.

A party system would be a nice add in, but honestly it's not that big of a deal. You jump in a game, then you're friends in your xbox live party can get to your game through the main menu of the game. It's quick and easy, and if you are wanting to party up with people you are playing with in game, but not friends with. There is a fireteam set up on the scoreboard. Just select the player and hit "Form fire team" and you will be essentially partied up. As I said a built in pregame party system would be nice, but as of right now its just an extra step, not that big of a deal. With all of the support and attention SD and BS are giving the game, I'm still glad I made the purchase and this looks to be a great MP experience. Just please god fix the lag!! lol!

I know a lot of people are defending this game because they are enjoying it, but this is a valid point. It's not about being original instead of copying other games, it's about a better experience for the gamer. My friends and I want a way to join together and then have it put us into games. It needs a party/lobby.

The best way to do it with the current system though, FusionT, is to have the ppl you want to play with in your xbox live party, and tell them when you're on the loading screen, they can join you from brinks main menu. It was an "Xbox live Party" button, they hit that and immediately hit join session and they can be loading in at the same time as you. Since we've started doing that we have no problem getting all of us into the same game! :)

That makes since. They don't want to copy CoD, and CoD lets me play with friends, so in the name of originality they refuse to let me play with friends? OH OK! :flamethrower:

the fact that there's no party or matchmaking system is pretty weak. How do u expect me to play with friends when its such a pain to get them in the same group, then hopefully the same team. Developers might look back to previous games and get little hints on how to matchmake and party up....if any other games do this. Oh wait, they ALL do. Every major fps game in the last five years has had a party up and matchmaking option. WTF Brink.

A party system is a must! The fireteams don't cut it. A pregame party system is needed like on Cod and Halo.

this game is focused on teamwork, yet right now you cant join a game as a team. cod is less based on teamwork but you can join games as a team. the way it is now is not horrible but its just weird to not have a party system in a team based multiplayer game. what happens when i try to join a game and there arent enough spots for the rest of my friends to join? party system would fix that. really good game IF they fix a few things.
