I would really like to see some vampire content

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 5:10 am

Like vampire clans or guilds that offer different specializatons like in morrowind.. Vampire specific quests and weapons.. As it stands now vampires are really lacking content wise. So, do any of you think some of these things might be added in the future?
EDIT: I would also like to see feeding in combat. That would be cool.

I would like to see clans, or just a faction we can join, but not specialized ones like Morrowind. I would rather see the Volkihar clan, and the Order implemented into the game. As for feeding in combat that would be cool, but how would that work? What if you do not want to feed on someone yet it happens anyway, how do you prevent that? The only thing I can think of would be a spell you cast on them, and if you kill them in the time that the spell is affecting them then you will feed on them as the finisher.

I've never tried playing as a vampire, but from what I've read on UESP it doesn't really seem to be a feasible way to play anyway. Don't the majority of NPCs become aggressive towards you in the late stages of your transformation?

Its kinda fun actually and you can fast travel and not die. That said, I like the idea of being immortal.

Wouldn't that make it difficult to complete quests?

It is definitely a feasible way to play. Vampires get a substantial bonus from the necromage perk. Not to mention the bonus to illusion. They make for excellent conjurers as well because necromage let's you enthrall things past the level 40 cap. Npcs are only hostile at the final stage and can be calmed with illusion anyway. It is very easy to avoid the final stage by feeding regularly.

Okay, I didn't realize the final stage wasn't inevitable. Makes more sense now.

As a 4th stage Vamp you are attacked on site and it makes the game difficult but i find it fun to plan out how to sneak into city, find the quest giver, "seduce" them so they dont kill me, get the quest, sneak out, complete the quest and return. You REQUIRE all of your vamp powers but it rewarding. But on the former note i want more vamp-friendly factions. Even the werewolf gets the companions

Question, do you get a bounty for killing a guard that attacks you first?

I dont think so...then again i think it is like being a wolf: If they see you as 4th lvl vamp they attack but if you leave and feed, then return they dont recognize you. I wouldnt know because i am still 4th lvl vamp

The Werewolf transformation made some of the Dark Brotherhood quests way too easy. If I was having trouble my backup plan was always to 1) transform into a werewolf while hidden, 2) kill the target, and 3) escape the city before I turn back to my human form.

The problem I have with doing that is when I seduce the person I want to talk to other people start to attack me and kill me while I am talking. So how do you get past that problem?

The seduce ability can hit multiple ppl if you aim right, otherwise wait till night and talk to said target in their room

I agree. The vampires are awful, but it would greatly improve them to have a vampire faction.
