Would this be a viable build?

Not sure what to call this.

Basically, I conjure a atronach, hit them with magic for long ranges, pull out the greatsword when things get close.

I thought BM was onehanded, Destruction, and Alteration? Maybe.

isnt every build viable? The question should have been "Is it a fun build?"

I utilize a similar playstyle when I get into a fight that can't be won with only my sword. I keep the sword at the ready (I do 1h+empty hand, so that I can bash without having to lug a shield around), but bring up Sanguine's Rose to summon a dremora to tank and take over primary DPS. Then, I switch my offhand to destruction, occaisonally going to healing to keep Kharjo and my dremora alive. I something gets too close, I kill it with my blade.

It's viable, yes. As with all conjuration builds though it becomes way too easy (read: boring) eventually. You won't ever need to fight unless you severely limit what you summon or which thralls you use.

Don't wanna de-rail the OP, but IF you stick to lower lvl summoned creature's, and thrall's , will it still get over powered? I use a bound sword instead of a real one. no armor.

No, of course this is not a viable build, because it requires you to be level 81. What are you going to do beforehand for several hundred hours? Even min-maxing would take you forever, unless you're cheating/using the console/Oghma Infinium glitch, in which case I don't even care to answer.

By the time you're level 81, anyway, you don't have to worry about "viable" builds. Whatever you did was obviously viable and whatever you do henceforth is OP.

Balance yourself out and show us a level 30, 40, or 50 build.
