Um, I can't say I'd have any interest in a Legion companion. Not just because I don't care for the Legion, but also because I don't care for companions.

Dang, I had no idea they removed a Legion companion...THAT svckS!!!

Thanks alot Bethesda...

And if your on PC, there are a couple mods that add Legion companions....Only they have no unique dialog or quests which svcks aswell...But it looks cool to be in Centurion armor and have acouple Prime bodyguards

Edit: I just re-read your post and dont really understand what you mean by a "blue beret with dreadlocks"....?
Ive never seen a Legion member wearing a beret, let alone with dreadlocks...?

Maybe your thinking of a Jamaican companion?

That's basically Ulysses before he was cut from the main game. Without the blue beret, of course.

He was cut for a very good reason (too much dialog to be able to fit in the game). And if he was never cut, then Lonesome road wouldn't be the same and he wouldn't be as badass as he now. He's a totally different kind of character because of Lonesome Road. And if he was in the vanilla game, he'd just be another legionary I would have killed. And on a side note, it wasn't Bethesda. They didn't have anything to do with the production of the game.

I don't know..

On one hand it would be better for a strictly Legion playthrough of course. A running around and just flatout taking over the world, killing, and enslaving everyone type of playthrough lol.

But on the other hand, based on how companions work already (being basically neutral to factions for the most part), it wouldn't really make a lot of sense to be freely roaming the other side of the river with a Legionaire or two at your side. I'd guess they'd be dressed and appear obviously legionaire anyways, and assuming you planned on playing more then 1/4 of the game without being hunted down at every location..

That would kind of screw with believebility since the large majority of quests involve being in territories under control of opposing forces.

I think it would just have to be used in a rather limited way in the main game, basically forcing you to play as an outlaw/bad guy, otherwise it would have to throw all common sense out the window.
