Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 10:41 pm

I was just checking out the 1.5 issues on the bugs/pc forum and it looks like it svcks. I play on xbox 360 , im thinking Ill let a few guinea pigs download it first before even thinking about trying it !! Consoles are supposed to get it pretty soon.

I never download a patch until it has been out for at least a week and I can see how other people are doing with it. This time will be no different.

Agreed. I'm sick of consoles getting the shank end of the deal.

There could be absolutely nothing wrong with our games, and the new patch will ensure to mess something up (eventually if not right away).

But yeah, definately letting others DL it before I do. My games doing decent now, besides the fact my textures and draw distance were stolen from me.

I haven't downloaded a patch yet. Quite scared actually... My game is pretty freakin great just the way it is. And I don't feel like starting over either.

1.5 hasn't negatively affected me, thus far.

Why would you have to start over?

I simply downloaded it because I wanted to see the new marksman and magic death cams.

I made a mage and went through the starting dungeon. Basically all it does it switch to a close-up view of the target, slows time, creates a brief red flash at the moment of its death and then you watch it collapse (still in agonizing slow motion). "Death cam," yes, but "death animation"...uh, not really. Not really, at least, any more interesting than simply watching them die the old-fashioned way.

Can someone please tell me if I'm missing something, or is it generally agreed these new death cams kinda svck?

I don't upgrade the patches until it's the final one and by that time the GOTY edition will be out. Patches usually do more damage then good like 1.2.

OMFG. Don't even say that! It's happened to me a couple times recently, quite a bit. ESP. the 1st person animations!

I'm terrified now.. and I was just about to start an Archer cause of the new killcams. Sigh.. i'll wait a week.. maybe two..

I haven't been over to the PC bug forum, so I can't/won't comment on it.

My personal observation with v1.5 has been nothing but positive thus far. I haven't experienced any issues (yet). To be completely honest, the whole "the sky is falling" attitude is unwarranted at this point.

You guys get the patches when they are stable. What's wrong with that?

...And personally, I haven't had any stability problems with 1.5. Except for the ridiculous killcam additions, it's an improvement.

Never had any issues with 1.4 update.. not as much lag as Fallout New Vegas so im happy. If they fix the lag on PS3 that would be awesome.

Because unlike most quality developers the majority of Bethesda's craptastic patches won't patch anything unless you start a new game. Old saves stay screwed.

Incorrect. Almost all of the fixes are retroactive to existing saves. Lot's of speculation in this thread, not much fact.

Well, you could trust the release notes and you can trust people like me who have been beta testing the patches since v1.3 or you could trust random internet scuttlebutt. You'll have to draw your own conclusions.
