Wow...if anyone is looking for a good non-quest assassinatio

Post » Thu Jul 05, 2012 3:47 am

Remember Elenwen? The Thalmor from the embassy?

Well, turns out that you can kill her. And it felt SO good. I've been itching to wipe away some Thalmor scum.

She spends her days still at the embassy. However, it's locked. You can only access her by using Whirlwind Sprint in Reeking Cave, followed by fighting through the respawning patrols. In her bed I found her, and after making her get up and listening to a comment about the Empire making the right choice, I plunged the Blade of Woe straight into her neck. Blood splattered and oooohhhh, it was fantastic. I'm thinking about reanimating her now and bringing her outside, where she can crumble into nothingness.

If you're the assassin type or just miss chopping Thalmor, don't neglect Elenwen.

Also! If anyone has any other worthwhile targets to recommend (apart from Nazeen, who's already dead), please do.

You can also jump the fence on the left side as you approach the inner courtyard. And, hell yes, I'm offing her after I complete the CW. :P

Belethor is a good target, too.

I tried that but couldn't get it! I'll give it another shot, now that I'm done desecrating the body.

I have yet to try now that the CW is complete but I couldn't kill her before. Even though I had done the main quest that takes me there.

But with the mod KILL THEM GENERALS which I used to clear all storm cloak camps... hmmm will try again.

if I didn't think this would somehow conflict with the inevitable dlc that deals with the Thalmor, (Hopefully this is the big expansion instead of one of the smaller dlcs like Dawnguard. I'm thinking Broken Steel: Skyrim.) I would be all over this.

I like to RP that Tullius and I have a secret agreement wherein I get to slaughter every Thalmor that crosses my path, and he covers up their deaths with tons of red tape. Hehe.

I've done it on a horse. ...but I'm at 1.4 - I wonder if they 'fixed' it.

I can put up with annoying - I don't like rude. :P

"Doo come back." Oh, I will. I'll be the one you didn't hear or see - have a good night. :P

People have said she loses the tag after the CW line is completed.

"Come by belethor's shop at the market, I'm sure we have something for you."
Belethor only gets my business cause he wiped out every other general shop in whiterun, and he gets to be so....smug about it.

He's not as bad as Vulwulf Snow-Shod. I liberated Skyrim, became the legendary Dragonborn, saved the WHOLE WORLD from Alduin, the World-Eater, became Harbinger of the honorable Companions, destroyed the Wolf Queen, and wiped out the Dark Brotherhood, all singlehandedly, yet he treats me like crap because......I'm a imperial.

As my signature implies, I play on the 360. I've completed both the MQ and CW.

And yes, really! I watched with my own eyes her blood gush out before she crumpled to the floor. For good measure, I raised her and then killed her again.

This reminds me. I really really really wish there was a way to kill off non essential people, like the guys in Stormcloak camps.

That has got to be one of my number one compliants about the game next to magic not being kick ass enough.

You mean people who are essential but shouldn't be? Yeah, that really bugs me too. I'd love to retour the Stormcloak camps and finish off the officers. Maybe they're being saved for a DLC...

Did you soul trap her? That's really the only just end, for her to end up enchanting some boots.

DAMN I really should've. Debating on seeing if I have an autosave that goes back far enough, but I did just get through a pretty challenging fight at Arcwind Point. Had to turn down the difficulty from Master to Expert...trying to train one of my weakest skills, 2H, against a Revered Dragon isn't a very good idea. Not in Nightingale Armor, at least.

I just rode Shadowmere up to the fence on the left side walkway and jump-climbed over. Friggin' horses are better than HMMWVs.

I'm aware of that. I mentioned it in case he could view them but didn't notice it, not to sound condescending.

Don't worry. :) I was on my phone, you couldn't know that.

I never gave getting into the embassy after the MQ a try since I thought there was no point. Now I think I will...

yeah I hate that too, when i wipe out the camp there is always that one guy still floating about and I also agree completely with the magic not being good enough.

I have 3 accounts the Mage, Warrior and Assassin and I only have about 50 hours on the Mage whereas I have 150+ on the other two because although i have put all my upgrades into the magika and there are only a select few decent spells worth using, they just drain the bar in 2 shots, every other spell is far too weak and this is even after loading myself up to the max with enchanted items and clothing to increase magika points and recharge speed.

Such a shame considering Oblivion had an awful lot of effort and time spent on making mages the dogs [censored], seems they just rushed through it on Skyrim and made it very Assassin orientated.

By Azura, by Azura you are preaching to the choir.

My character is decked out in enchantments and has a ton of spells logged away but I only ever use a hand full of them and even most of those arn't super effective. I wish there was more noncombat magic too. Like, just stuff to spice up the game, make magic feel more alive and less video gamey, if that makes sense.

I'm imagining this scenario with Heimskr instead of Elenwen...bliss. :hehe:
