Hello !
So I made a little experiment , do you really need to be a noble hero to have fun ?
A dragonborn ? True Nord warrior ? Dark Brotherhood's most valuable Assassin ? Thalmor secret agent ?

NO!
Now here's my proof for that:
I installed the Alternative Life mod , made an Orc who has the Breezehome.
Now I played him OVER 10 HOURS ( which is pretty much a lot in a single day "without doing anything special" )

So what could it be ? what's the big point from this thread ?
The point is that I played a really NORMAL character , bought an steel war axe for self defense , went gathering ingredients ( Mudcrab chitin )
The farthest point where I got to is the bandit fort near Whiterun which I avoided too.
Sold all my gathers to the alchemy store , made some gold , ate something and went sleep...
I played a totally NORMAL character in here.

So Whiners
Before whining at how much Skyrim is dumped down , how much you don't have any choices , Look at the things you can really do ( the ones above and MANY MANY MANY more, Shut up and let these forums talk actually about the game.

Wow indeed...

You are actually unable to understand what people mean with "dumbed down".

Yes I know , but I saw many of them whining about the little choices and possibilities.

You've managed to roleplay for ten hours. Congratulations. However, you've completely missed the point of the people who say Skyrim is "dumbed down" and those who attack the lack of variation within the game.

You are actually unable to understand that Skyrim isn't "dumbed" down.

I'm so tempted to try something like this. Maybe, as a long-term goal, try to become a master alchemist or something. I'm sure quests would stack up just from talking to people, but I guess that's okay. thanks!

The great thing about this is that you didn't even need a MOD for this.

Much like "Oblivion" before it you can create a character and completely ignore the Main Quest.

After all, this is an RPG and the story elements are just there to help the player "make a game of it".

You can also use the disk as a Frisbee, a plate, a hat, a ring, put it on a necklace, use as an ornament, and many more! Why would you ever want to even leave real life?! Today I went outside, went to school, ate some food, and fell asleep. But the crazy thing is that it took me ten hours and wasn't that much fun.

Anyone who says real normal life is so shallow that you have to live it in a video game needs to use this cd for what it can really do.

I have 600+ hours, still enjoying it - but I can't deny it feels dumbed down to suit the casual players. They did have the chance to put in some hardcoe options, but they didn't, because they know we'll just svck it up and buy anyway. I miss hardcoe from FONV deeply, which to me wasn't tedious at all, just added greater depth to the gameplay - although some may disagree.

using the cd as a hat is only for the hardcoe players, not for that damn casual milk-drinkers.

Here's the thing. This is a forum with many members, and they are entitled to their opinion. Sometimes their opinion is not going to agree with yours. If they are not breaking any rules, they are entitled to discuss what may have made them unhappy with the game as others are entitled to post about what makes them very happy with the game.

I glance at some threads and know some posters or some topics are going to just irritate me. So I don't bother posting in them or even reading very far into them. You have that option as well.

Please don't make thread complaining about complainers or calling people whiners. Thanks.
