Wow, Ulfric was totally right... Killing him DOES make for a

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 2:31 pm

Just a little something I composed for fun out of boredom. Don't take it too seriously.

(Sung to the tune of Ragnar the Red)

Oh, there once was a villain named Ulfric Stormcloak
Who by many account was an unlikeable bloke

He had great power but he craved more and more
So he killed his High-King and started a war

The people of Skyrim were lost and forlorn
When entered their hero: The Last Dragonborn!

He challenged Lord Ulfric, the would be High-King
To face him and battle, so freedom might ring

He said "You wanted to rule and you want us to kneel,
But I think instead you will taste my blade's steel!"

And so a battle broke out, Thu'um against Thu'um
And Ulfric was thrown to the floor; to his doom

And the tyrant named Ulfric made widows no more
When his traitorous head rolled around on the floor!

What'd ya think?

Don't quit yer day job. :P

That said, it's no worse than anything else I've heard in the game.

Saddest thing about the whole Skryim bard culture to me is that the only one I've heard who's any good is Talsgar, and he can't seem to get a permanent gig (or more likely, he just doesn't want one). I asked him for his rendition of The Dragonborn Comes once and he stood right there on the roadside and ROCKED IT.

Really good job. Here are two scenarios you could make a song from but I guarantee Ulfric would hate them both. When I hit Ulfric with a Paralyze spell, he went face down on the floor, butt in the air, and he never got up again. He spoke into the floor when Tullius talked to him. The second time, I shouted at him right after he shouted at Tullius and Rikke and he flew into the wall, face down and never got up again. He spoke into the floor when Tullius talked to him that time too. To be sure, they were not glorious deaths. :tes:

I edited it into a better version.

Oh, there once was a Emperor named Titus Mede
Who was beaten and licked Aldmeri feet

He outlawed his God and forced his rule
On the land of Skyrim, which was rather cruel

The people of Skyrim were lost and forlorn
When entered their hero: The Last Dragonborn!

He said "You want to rule and you want us to kneel,
But I think instead you will taste my blade's steel!"

He swung his sword which gave a musical ring
And sliced up ol' Medey the minstrels doth sing

And then the Dragonborn went up to the General
Proclaiming "I'll slay you until the graveyards are all full"

And the Empire interfered with Skyrim no more
When their soldier's heads rolled around on the floor!

I'm liking the reactions. Some positive, some negative, some retaliatory... if this thread gets more momentum, maybe we can get Bethesda to agree to a sing off to decide the canonical ending of the Skyrim Civil War.

Nah, boot-licking's only required in the Cult of Ulfric. :P

Also, your sig makes me wish I had found a way to use "contemptible" in this song.

There once was a villain named Emperor Mede, who enjoyed the comp'ny of Aldmeri steeds.

And the Emperor did worship and hail the Thalmor, as he listened to tall tales of old Alinor.

But then he went quiet, did Emperor Mede, when he met the Nord hero Ulfric who said:

"Oh, you lie and you kiss the feet of the High Elven Elite, now I think it's high time that you die in your seat."

And then came the power of Thu'um into play, as Mede was the one that Ulfric did slay.

And the liar named Titus betrayed us no mooooooooore, when his limp dead body did fall to the floor!

Their once was a man called Ulfric Stormcloak
With more holes in his plan than an old sinking boat
He ranted and rambled and thought he was right
But he was as bright as the sunshine at night
His cause wasn't just and his banner was torn
When he caught the attention of the old Dragonborn
He coward and tried to hide behind men
But for every five sent, the Dova killed ten
His tyranny ended upon his old throne
When Dovakiin laid his head down upon the cold stone
Windhelm was at peace, and so was the land
When Dovakiin ended, Ulfric the Mad

No it's when I RP'd a more aggressive Ulfric who dared to kill Mede on the Katariah.

You make way more money being a cult leader, but being a follower you have so much more fun.

You should have at least used "scumbag" lol.

-snip-
That was really good, though I was hoping for a different ending than the same thing as Ragnar the Red. :(

I edited it into a better version.

This, on the other hand, was terrible. Not only did you mess up the amount of syllables, but it was General Tullius that gets killed during the Civil War. Emperor Titus Mede gets killed in the Dark Brotherhood questline.

And all this is coming from someone who likes Ulfric and the Stormcloaks better than Tullius and the Empire.
