Finally got my copy of NV today..i was a bit worried about it after hearing all the let down's on the forums...when i got it....and played it i... was kinda expecting better....but then all of a sudden the story gets better and better, and so do the locations and everything..i cant put it down now...Now im Just wondering when u get side quests and that from random people in the wastland.....do they come up on your map were to go??? or do you have to find them yourself...AKA some guy asks for help when his wife is being attacked at some bridge...i cant find the bridge because it dosent come up on my quests?? so does this mean i find it myself?
That's not a side quest, it's what's referred to as an "unmarked" quest. So, no, it doesn't appear in your journal, along with a blatantly obvious arrow telling you where to go. You'll have to actually listen to what he says for directions.

Not trying to drop a spoiler here, but I think I see a few pages from the Red Dead Redemption playbook in the wasteland this time around. The "wife being attacked guy" in NV seems to be a bit like the "I need a ride into town guy" in RDR.
