Wuuthrad or Volundung?

Post » Thu May 31, 2012 7:14 am

Volundrung is awsome with its 50 points of stamina absorption and its pretty quick.

Wuuthrad has that good damage rating, and of course extra damage to elven races, - so i guess it dosn't have any charge (which rocks) - IS THIS WEAPON SCALED????

I dont know whether to just carry both around, but im not sure which ti use,

what do you guys like using?

You can still keep Wuuthrad. Just place it on the Statue to activate it. Then grab it again.

I still have Wuuthrad and completely finished the Companions questline including all the radiant quests. I have Wuuthrad proudly on display in my home.

None, it doesn't do any extra damage to elves. The enchantment is a lie.

Not sure but I can one hit almost any elf including Orcs in the game with it. You can't improve it but you can add an enchantment I think

you sure? becouse skyrim wiki sais that it does double damage to elves

''Wuuthrad is a ancient battleaxe once wielded by the founder of the Companions, Ysgramor. Its primary effect is causing double damage to elves, namely Altmer, Bosmer, Dunmer and Falmer. Accordingly, the visage of a screaming elf decorates the axe.Though the conditions of its creation are unknown, Ysgramor carried the axe when he and the Five Hundred Companions drove the elves from Skyrim and Solstheim.''

Wuuthrad, because I can enchant it :)

Although it's primary effect is not working, but I like to use it to slaughter Thalmor

Wuuthrad does indeed do extra damage to any Elven races. However, extra is an over-explanation because it really doesn't do that much extra damage.

wuuthrad has tradition but unfortunately cant be upgraded like other unique weapons so its a nice ax but other axes are better..it makes a nice wall mount ;)

According to Prima's Official Game Guide for Skyrim, Wuuthrad only does 1.2x extra damage to Elves. So like I said, "extra damage" is an over statement.

Unless you're Merish, I'd go with Wuuthrad.
