Xbox 360 update. What was it?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 12:17 pm

Jan 21/11. Another 360 update. Anyone know what it was about? How come we get these updates but are never told what they do?

So does anyone know what it did?

*edit* I looked but couldn't find a topic on this, so I made one. If there is a thread on this can someone redirect me to it please.

My Xbox updates so many times I never worry about it. Of course I do not play as often.

Unsure what it was. Maybe it was an update for the Kinects. I've hear there have been some people hacking them so maybe that necessitated a security update. Like I said I really have no idea...I did not really see any differences after the update. I assume if you went to xbox.com there would be an explanation of the most recent updates. I suggest you check there...I would do it myself but I don't really feel like searching at this time of night.

It included an anti piracy stealth update along with the boot to game feature. http://kotaku.com/5738387/xbox-update-stealth-kills-call-of-duty-pirates :flamethrower:

fter you accept the update, you’ll be able to set the option to boot to the Xbox 360 dashboard OR directly to the game you have in the tray when you power up your console.

Colour me confused. I always had that option. Or am I missing something? (My 360 is in for repair so no update for me yet.)

Well, it means that when you have your xbox powered down with a disc in it, that when you power it up it will automatically start the game and not just send you to the xbox dashboard where you would have start the game manually. Thats all it means...it gives you the option.

I have always had that option. I changed it as soon I figured out how.
