XBOX DLC exclusive?

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 3:23 am

I read that the 1st dlc is XBOX 360 exclusive, and the rest of what I read mentions that the PS3 is likley never to get it because Microsoft paid for it to either not be release, or delayed. I also read that they did the same thing for the Grand Theft Auto IV dlc, which the PS3 didn't get them for a year later after the XBOX did. So my question is, where do I find the monopolizing troll that brokered this deal? I'll head there after I dust off my old trusty beating stick.

I don't like the decision either.

Seeing as there are like 5 threads that come up about this everyday though, this thread is going to be closed soon. (Also because the mods don't like the use of the term "troll")

Sorry. :(

The PS3 and the PC will almost definitely get the DLC eventually as this is probably just a timed exclusive. But who knows how long it will take. As for who to be angry with, directing your anger towards Microsoft and Bethesda Softworks is a good bet, but keep in mind Bethesda Softworks, the publisher, is a different entity from Bethesda Game Studios, the developer of Fallout 3. It's Bethesda Softworks fault, but not Bethesda Game Studios. It's important to keep that in mind.

That's Microsoft, a company based on purchased and stolen work that strong arms competition and restricts progress for the sake of profit. Probably one of the most hardcoe examples of capitalism you can find.

@Jara: He picked up the first operating system for 50 grand of daddy's money within I believe a day of marketing it to IBM, and stole the early Mac OS to "create" windows.

@craigster: about 10 bucks and a week trapped in a cabin with Fisto.

From the consumer's(non Xbox owner) point of view, yes. From a marketing or capitalistic then not at all. It means that anyone who might still be sitting on the fence about which system to buy may have more incentive to purchase Xbox rather than PlayStation.

My bad, can't always sense the blatant sarcasm in text. Don't recall the line myself.

Talk about screwing over your fans. Sad thing is, I've come to expect this of all big companies, so I'm not even mad.

Microsoft is just a greedy ass bunch of pricks that try to monopolize every single thing.

It's become even MORE obvious since they entered the gaming industry with the release of the Xbox.

It’s not Microsoft, its Capitalism.

There’s a console war going on, new kinds of content popping up all over, and it’s the wild west for all the companies out there trying to figure out how to sell it all to you.

A few years ago, almost all games were branded to a particular console and that was that. I don’t know why video games are the only form of media to be sold this way, but at least it’s getting better.

There is really no need for yet another topic on this, a quick search would have shown the others. http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1133644-timed-exclusive-dlc-again/
