Xbox question.

Post » Fri Dec 09, 2011 7:37 am

I like you people(s) and thought you people(s) were quite smart, so I decided to ask you people(s) a question regarding my xbox and its issues.

Recently my xbox has decided to stop working, or work very little.. sometimes it's funny, but not anymore. I almost can't play any new games now...
So, I decided I want to buy a new one. The problem is, it's not the newest version (Xbox Slim), it's just a black xbox (aka. Elite). And I'm having difficulty finding those..

I just want the console, I already have a hard-drive. Now my question is, is it worth buying the xbox elite again and selling its hard-drive? Or, buy an arcade xbox without a hard-drive?

I had the same problem with my XBox not being able to play any new games. Does it play older ones OK? If so it may be your optical drive that is going. That is what happened to me. I would look into buying a used one with all of the features that you want.

Why not just get a slim and a harddrive transfer cable?

Spoiler
If you ask me the older 360's took an arrow in the knee.

I would just do what BalisQit said. When my White release Xbox bricked 3 months ago after 4 years of service, I went out and bought a Slim with the kinect and 250gb HDD, borrowed my bros transfer cable and all has been well. New games that people have had glitches in like GoW3(Game Freezes,Hangs etc) and Skyrim(Dragons flying backwards, etc) don't really affect me, I would like to believe it's my Xbox

As per TheKarnage said. When Halo 3 came out my White clunker COULDN'T play it at all. I had to send it in to be repaired, they said the optical drive was going bad.
Anyways the Slim version is more sound then older models
